That would suck if they don't cover his imperial past. That's what I'm most interested in seeing.

Or as the cannon from comics and books was washed clear. They could change his back story.

Yup. Spent a year in Germany.  Same. Spent two years in south Korea. Same.  Spent time on a UN operation.  Same. Afghanistan. Same. Saudi Arabia. Same. The list goes on. But always the same.  Its the whole we have too much time on our hands thing. Its universal.

I'm a noob to the 501st. But the infantry taught me all the good stuff.  There is way more I can go Into. But there is foul language for most. So I don't use it.

Just because I ran into this. McQuarrie’s  work was the vision that kicked things off. And this was cool of the students to make this jewel.  And I figured who better to share it with than my detachment family!

Here are some of the pattern (will try to add more soon) and picture of the build for Line/Staff/Krennic Poncho

    Take note that

    1) Krennic's Cape is much longer then the Line/Staff officer's cape

    2) Krennic front have a pocket. But the Line/Staff officer do not have.

The patterning is pretty easy it is just the sewing the detail of the line can be hard. So do change the needle on the sew machine if you are planing to do it yourself. Using the normal needle can sometime cost the sting to jump a few sticting. Do be careful when sewing waterproof fabric as once you poke a hole, the hole stays.

    Needle: Microtex

The cape is more of a rectangle shape. So cut two of this. And if you have a mannequin, it will be better. so you can pin the cape to the top part nicely.

It will be better to pin and see where you want the below part to be.

This is my test mock up on krennic's pocket. I think it is called a Welt Pocket.
Here are some of the links on how to do it

The Opening of the top cape
ok this is how I did it.

ok. You can see the different in the cape length of it.

If you really want to be more waterproof (not for heavy rain), you can try to spray waterproof spray onto the costume (or for your daily wear too!). But every how and then you have to spray it. Because the waterproof spray do not stay onto the outfit very long. It is really usefull for hats! I did use some of the waterproof spray when I go oversea on my hat or my jacket when there is light rain like England.....

    It looks something like this.

I have most of the same issues.  As one of those who had hoped to be able to just play the Imperial side on any given map, I was looking forward to an all-Imperial campaign as was hyped.  I even mentioned to coworkers before the game came out that I hoped they wouldn't do what I was suspecting they would, and have the main characters jump ship and join the terrorists.  But alas, that's exactly what they did, and even sooner than I anticipated.
That, and the current lack of character customization are my only main disappointments.
In any case, feel free to join me on PS4 if you like.  I'm "ID-3238".

I do my uttermost to try and enjoy this game but it is hard, really hard. Issues such as lag on servers and unbalanced classes helps even less.
EA has now shot themselves in the foot big time.

Only reason I still play it is because its a Star Wars game, basicly and I enjoy playing from a basic soldiers POV more than heroes now and then.

The type was huge for this game and the hopes that it would fare better than its 2015 predecessor through a, what we were promised, exciting campaing from the Imperial POV along with great gameplay improvements.

What a bunch of well-written bunch of lies that was.

I have often questioned and wondered over EA's way of marketing games but this was the final nail in the coffin for me.

I have even signed a petiton to see Disney pull their contract on EA's license to produce Star Wars games, because the amount of damage they do to the brand is just unforgivable.

And dont even get me started on some of the responses EA has given to the negative feedback. They're just plain insulting to gamers and fans alike.

There are, of course many other positives and negatives that come to mind while playing.  The performances and voice overs are second to none, though I keep coming back to the fact that it is exceedingly over-priced for the product that it actually is.  I have some hope for the campaign add-on set to be available next week, but EA had best shape up before they damage, or worse lose the fanbase for these games.

After a couple weeks here are a few thoughts I have:

    1)  While overall I enjoyed the single player story (the Easter Eggs and References to pretty much EVERYTHING in the New Canon made me almost cry they were so well done) , I wholeheartedly concur as to the aforementioned change from Empire to rebel.  It was greatly disappointing to me to have had so much hype about seeing the end of the war through the eyes of the defeated and the reorganization and rise of the First Order.  I feel robbed of that.

    2)  I am a very casual "gamer."  I get much more enjoyment from a board game or miniatures game (VERY much looking forward to Fantasy Flight's "Star Wars Legion" game).  With this being said, I feel insulted that I really don't have just as much a chance to hold the line in most of the multi-player modes.  To me, the best approach to something of this Epic scale was the ORIGINAL Call of Duty.  On a given map, players chose their side and their weapon.  That could have easily translated into the "classes" of troopers with their own stock advantages and disadvantages.  When "Modern Warfare" came out I was excited for a moment about the new changes and options it brought, but that faded very fast.  Friends of mine STILL meet on occasion to play the Original CoD (well, with the United Offensive expansion).

    3)  "Lootcrates" and challenges are a detriment to the game and experience.  Yes, I do love my quaint little S-5 Blaster, but I would rather it be a map and Era specific pick-up.  Very much like the FG-42 and Panzerfaust in the aforementioned CoD.

    4)  I am very fond of the "Arcade Mode" but I wish you could experience the Galactic Assault and Starfighter modes in an arcade setting.  Sometimes we just don't like the "Hero" characters showing up and spoiling all the fun, so to be able to turn off the availability of them would be a nice option.

    5)  Starfighters.  I LOVE the Starfighters.  I HATE that we have no ability to fly in "Arcade Mode" to hone our skills and better grasp the maneuverability strengths and weaknesses of these wondrous little craft.

In summation, I enjoy the game, but where it falls short it REALLY falls on its face.  I just ardently hope that Disney told the fellas at EA, in no uncertain terms, "Don't fail me again..."  Thus concludes this humble report of opinion.

I also have no love of this term. When I was at a park in my Sca armor I had a couple calling us cosplayers. I replied no I'm not a cosplayer I'm a knight. That steered the conversation to reenacting medieval life. That's a term I prefer.

Just received word of the passing of John Mollo, the costume designer of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, ALIEN and a bunch of other movies.  The word came from the owner of Starwarshelmets.com on the RPF.

John Mollo created the costumes we wear here, most of all, the imperial officer uniform.  He was the formost authority on European Military Fashions of the last 500 years and could tell you not just the configuration of the uniforms, but the purpose behind them.  He wrote the definitive text on the subject.  He will be deeply deeply missed.
