I had one of there code cylinders and they're not too bad, but their are better ones available here.

For the armoured version of General Veers he doesn't have a code cylinder, for the Line Officer uniform he has a single standard blue tipped code cylinder.
-
I have some General Veers armour. The trousers, boots, gloves and jacket are standard Line Officer parts. The lid, chest armour, belt and holster are AT AT Commander (General Veers) specific.
Whilst I'd recommend keeping here for help with the Line Officer part of the costume, I'd recommend heading over to http://www.armoredcavalry.net/for assistance with the armour.

Ralph,
Your pictures seem to be taken from a low angle. I'm a little concerned about the 'skirt' of the helmet, I'm not sure if the angle is too shallow or it's just a bad photo. Can you please post some more pictures of the lid, you don't need to wear it with the costume. I'd like front on, side on and from the rear. Try and get one from the same height, maybe you can sit in a chair.
Whilst the last, and best photo I've got is from RotJ, the first two are from ANH albeit quite dark. You can see the angle of the lids here. This should be what you're aiming for.
Thanks,
Phil

Open till the 4th October! If anyone can get some more pics of the costumes. For me I'd love detailed pics of the Officer and Xwing Pilot
-
Are these all screen used costumes? By the looks of it that's Red Leaders Xwing Pilot lid next to the officer - I copied that for my pilot, dang I'm so jealous, I would love to see that in the 'flesh'
-
Just looking at the holster, it's not the correct style either - looks more WWII than Star Wars to me :/
Great photo though, I'd love to see a screen used uniform in the 'flesh'.

You could use the clips from less accurate dosimeters
This would need a little mode to make it more accurate

These are right, and you get a charger

Very nice I got some 'loot' last night too.
Sadly in the UK though there seem to be supply problems and we didn't get as much stock as stores wanted, and a number had to cancel their Force Friday promotions!

A friend spotted this today.

That's the problem with comic art, each artist has a different interpretation. Baron Fel is mine a mine field, every artist has drawn him differently. That isn't to say you can't work towards creating a costume based on a cartoon character. It just takes a little more time. If you are serious about it, I would stick to one artist and make sure you have enough reference to show the character from all angles. You then have the fun of creating a costume which faithfully matches these references ... you can't pick and chose what you like.
I'm working towards replicating the John Nadeau version of Baron Fel, he was the original Baron Fel artist. There is enough reference to show the character from all angles, consistently ... though that project has been on the back burner for a while :/

I assume this would be treated like a new CRL submission.
You would need clear reference pictures of the character from all angles, then construct a costume to match the reference.
For example:
3 code cylinders, without clips
Belt free of markings
Single plate rank bar
Black gloves no markings
Long black side burns
Short black hair

Whilst I've watched all of the Rebels episodes I can't quite recall the look of the uniform, I don't believe they look quite the same as the uniforms in the films.
For cannon troops (the UK Garrison only does cannon troops) the uniform would need to be cannon, everything matches a single source. For example you couldn't construct an ESB Boba Fett costume and then troop with the gun from the Holiday Special, whilst Boba Fett is clearly seen with both weapons he's not seen with those in that configuration at the same time.
Other Garrison's have non cannon troops where things can be mixed up a little.
If you're looking for a red rank bar as per High General Tagge I'd recommend these:
They're highly accurate and worn by the majority of the UK Garrison, so they'd fit nicely in and look consistent.

They're not bad. They wouldn't be my first choice. I'd prefer to see something with a more vintage look, but these are increasingly harder to get hold of.
If you can add a convincing adjustment strap, they'd do.

As far as I can tell trooper is both a generic term regarding someone trooping and a term to identify a stormtrooper. When trooping you don't refer to people by their names so you identify them by their costume type - e.g. trooper, biker, sandy, TK, etc

For clarification, for base (Garrison level) clearance a cap is required. Once you have cleared at base level you may resubmit your uniform here for a Detachment review. At Executor level (2) your uniform will be judged more strictly. After passing the executor level review you may resubmit your uniform for Imperator level (3, and highest) clearance. At this point we would like your uniform to replicate a cannon officer.
At this point you could replicate Motti, Tagge, Cass or Romodil who are seen without a cap, but to do so you would need to have passed clearance level 1 and 2, which require a cap.
Again we require costumers to clear with a cap because it has been proven officers who are seen without caps, are also seen with caps.

We require caps for a consistent appearance. Yes some officers were seen without caps but these were specific instances. Two of these officers - Chief Bast (Leslie Schofield) and Colonel Yularen (Robert Clarke) are seen with caps at a later stage. From this observation we have ruled that wearing the cap is the norm.
The exceptions to this rule are the specific iconic characters Grand Moff Tarkin, Armand Isard, Admiral Daala, Director of Intelligence Isard, Grand Admiral Thrawn, they have their costuming standards, and are independent.
Are Museum replicas line officer uniforms any good?

The colour is great, the best I've seen, though the neck isn't as tall as it should be. My line officer / AT AT Commander is a Museum Replicas.
Like most uniforms it will probably require tailoring, I spent almost as much getting mine tailored as I did the original suit. Though you may be a lucky person and it fits you off the bat. These are great improvement on the CosplaySky uniforms. At the moment I'd say they're the best out there.
I know a number of us are purchasing Clothears Line Officer uniforms, as yet I haven't seen one of these so can't comment on the colour, but the suit would be made to measure, but the rest looks excellent.
