I  have a question about the cap on the sleeve:  Is that a second layer over the sleeve or is it a two part sleeve?

I downloaded my photobucket items and put them on flikr to use on forums.. It does take time if the ownner is willing.

So the black rain coat in the same design as Krennic's white one . I would choose a black poly or black waterproof/resistant nylon.

I have read through all but four pages of this and perhaps it is those pages that have side shots to give the details of the side pieces. I am in the process of making the pattern pieces for this cape. I have the first two side pieces, the top piece that goes to the back, the large back piece and the lower back triangle piece. The only piece I have yet to see clearly to get  shape is the piece with the slit pocket. All the pics seem to have folds in that area.  Are there any pics out there that I missed that show clearly the shape of this section of the cape? I want to make it with all the pieces and the top stitching so it looks exactly as the original.. perfectionist here..

OMG Tim.. these are precious.. I hope I have enough fabric to redo some pieces.. I got the last of this ancient fabric from a wholesale place in Springfield MA so there is no more of it.

do these have to be made of metal? what if they could be made of Sintra? It is easy to cut and shapes well with a bit of heat. It sands well and paints up nicely to look like metal.

[Officer Uniform patterns]

I am using some news print paper and making a pattern for the admiral tunic. I am willing to share it once mine is finished and it fits properly. I just posted some pics on my face book for those who are friends. I used the back of the Star trek costume as guide for making the princess back and a sleeve that is from McCalls 6487 jacket. I am tracing the pattern pieces onto the news print. I am going to do the dart below the bust and see if that works. Costuming is a lot of trial and error and sharing. .. esp sharing!! Using existing patterns is good but for the front and the pocket, I had to use other resources in my skull.

Hi there.

I am working in paper on a pattern for an imperial officer tunic. As I look at reference shots for the bottom half of the tunic I see separate panels. Are there six or seven panels ? It is hard to see because all images have the tunics closed and I see only one view of the back of them. Thanks for a reply!
