  1. Ah. Yeah I see it now. I think kelldragon used his original pattern and just modified the top to not have the cutout for the scope that a DL-44 has. Which is just what I asked for.

The original holster is probably some cheap pleather like Neo Kerberos. So while this holster may not be the pinnacle of accuracy, I know that some of us here have them already and that the quality is high, which is why I went with his, and wanted to give the rest of you a heads up on the modified version in case you were contemplating the DL-44 version already.

  2. Not quite "found on ebay", since it's etsy. Anyways, I talked with kelldragon about a modified pattern for his officer DL-44 holster that would better fit the Power5. He's just come back with the result. I like it, and I know some of you already have his holster and know it's good quality. Not quite the maroon colour I asked him about, but I don't know if mine will be a one-off and the pictures on etsy are "stock" or not. Else I'll settle on a brown, which is fine. Just a tip in case you're looking for a ready to wear holster.

  3. I was speaking briefly with kelldragon about making a modified version of his DL-44 holster for my Power-5 in a maroon-ish leather. He didn't have that kind of leather in hand so it'll be a while, but I have faith in his crafts and I'll post some pictures once I have it.

  4. The disk is a real life found item from a Michell turntable and has the notch and grooves. It was bought in bulk added to the hats and belts. However, it is very likely that on some hats, and definitely on some belts they fell off during or in between shooting the movies (remember, it's 3 years between each movie) and that replicas were fabricated by LFL to replace the lost discs.

  5. After trying to try on my friends riding boots (same kind as yours), she rides dressage with horses, there seems to be no trick to it. Just boot hooks and lots of force.

Her boots obviously didn't fit be since we're different sizes and hers are tailor made for her, but didn't mind me trying anyway, so there seems to be no risk of damaging them from using force to get the boots on.

  6. very nice, do people just make the other parts themselves or just find pieces that look like those extra parts?

That would depend on your budget I guess. You can either just wing it and try to find something that looks similar, build it from plastic scraps, or buy high-end machined metal replica parts to attach.
