    Agreed on hat, optional based on what we have for now. If that is him in the field.. ..I only see red rank bar, (am I missing the blue one?) and it makes me wonder if it's someone else? (Admittedly someone in almost same costume leading death troopers with same blaster rig seems unlikely, but...)

    For short cape, man, I don't know. I guess all three (hat, rank, cape) will make a big step forward in solving when we can be sure it is Krennic. Or (for me) when I get some sorely-needed glasses.

    I went hardcore spoiler-free on TFA, and now for RO I can't find enough, ha!

    Yeah, that cape is different too. I can see the hat being optional (much like the discussion in the Hux CRL), not sure it should be required though. As for that cape, yeah, doubt we nail that one until at least the movie's out, maybe not until blu ray.

    IMHO, knee-high, yes.   Here are some video grabs:

     

    - Celebration Reel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUb_zpdyDpU), shot starting at 1:05.  The difference between the polished boot and matte breeches can be seen clearly.

    (For what it's worth, the reel's shot at 2:11 is not particularly helpful, nor is the 'hat' shot at 2:18 mentioned earlier.)

     

     

    - In the teaser trailer at 1:17 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wji-BZ0oCwg), in the shot of him walking through the water, the difference between the boot and breeches can also be seen:

    Best shots so far are from the Celebration's cast panel, where Mendelsohn appeared in costume (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI6yT344SRw) and was stepping up the stairs:

    It's hard to see where the knee is supposed to be, and even harder to see when he's wearing the boots in the panel.  Are you saying they were knee high?  I think we nailed down what kind of boots they are, but as with all it's hard to tell just HOW tall a boot is when you just see the boot and no reference.
