Are you suggesting this for L1, or as an upgrade at the L2/L3 level?  For sure it could be at L2+

I'd agree with it listed as a L2+ requirement, I would have changed mine from the get go

Well, i'll say I wish you had been in admin on Clone side - because one of my friends had to redo her holsters on her clone because Level 1 said on a strap, Level 2 said no strap, magnetic attachment, she went that way because it looked better, and was refused entry until she put the bloody strap on.

I see that, but I know a LOT of GMLs (and yeah, I'll call one of Star's out on this because of an issue on a clone) that don't give 3 flips about Level 2 or Level 3, if it doesn't match Level 1 is isn't cleared.

I know we had this discussion before, but I've heard way too many stories just in the last year of GMLs that use the CRL exacts as a great pass/fail, not paying attention to making it more screen accurate.

Unfortunate but not all GML's only look at basic requirements we do look at the whole CRL and do encourage members to reach for the higher levels.

For IN - Navy Dress Uniform ESB L2, are metal boxes required?

This is only to update ROTJ Navy Trooper NOT Navy Dress Uniform, that is a different CRL

But to answer your question IN - Navy Dress Uniform ESB L2 : http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IN_imperial_navy_officer

For level two certification (if applicable):

    • Belt boxes should include a lid on back of the box.
    • ANH Navy Troopers shall have two vertical belt boxes, one on either side of the belt buckle.
    • ESB Navy Troopers shall have two horizontal belt boxes, one on either side of the belt buckle.
  4. After my recent submission for ROTJ Navy Trooper L2 I thought it would be nice if the CRL could be updated.changed, I doubt many would know about the belt greeble or the fact you can't wear drop boxes even when the CRL says you can.

    Navy Trooper

    Summary of L2 requirements:

ROTJ: Has gauntlets and compad, but no code cylinders or headset. May have smaller horizontal belt boxes. (change to) Has a small greeblie (same as AT-AT glove greeblie) The AT-AT greeblie should be to wearers left of the buckle

    Optional Accessories

Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below.

    Belt Boxes

    For 501st approval:

    Dimensions are approximately 2 1/2" (63.5 mm) by 4 1/2" (114.3 mm) by 1" (25.4 mm) thick.

Project boxes are not allowed for level 2 and 3 clearance.

For level two certification (if applicable):

Belt boxes should include a lid on back of the box.

ANH navy troopers have two vertical belt boxes

ROTJ navy trooper has smaller horizontal belt boxes (change to) has a small greeblie (same as AT-AT glove greeblie) The AT-AT greeblie should be to wearers left of the buckle

    Taylor,

Thanks for the submission, nice work.

Unfortunately there are a couple of things I'd like you to correct before I approve your submission:

The edges of the belt should be undyed

Also, this year I'd like to push the accuracy of the holsters, can you please darken the holster to match the screen reference

    Almost there, looking good,

    Phil

Isn't that a Tanbris reference, he is replicating - Daine Jir not sure if that changes the holster colouring?
