  1. I use spray paints available from the hardware store, they are more industrial, btw don't mix brands as some react with each other. I first use a primer, then cover with a silver, mask the muzzle, then paint satin black, then mask the whole gun except the handle, spray that brown, then give the whole gun two coats of satin clear. Now each of these steps I let dry for a day in between so it can take a while. blaster3.jpg

Thank you for the help. Any particular brand or type you use?

  2. Hey Everyone!

So I am going to try and spice up my juno by adding some weapons. I researched and she carries two DL-44s in two holsters.

My question is i am buying the plastic white and orange DL 44 blasters and want to paint them myself. Just not sure what spray paint/paint will work best. Any advice on how to get the paint to stick to the plastic and not rub off on my hands is appreciated.

  3. Hey Guys!

Ok since my Juno is complete and awaiting approval I am looking to add a second costume to my collection. I am actually looking to do a TIE reserve pilot but I know the jumpsuit for the imperial bridge crew is the same. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on where to look or get the jump suit? I see a few on ebay and of course the cosplaysky one. Also any one know who I can talk to about ordering comm pads?

Any help would be appreciated. (I am also on the Jolly Roger boards and posted there for help but no one has replied to my post, since my access on that site allows me only to post in one place.)

    Thank you,

    Charlene

  4. Looks about right. :) yeah the real (non-video game) tunic has additional seams under the arm pits/sides. They are mostly not noticeable.

I just want to make sure for approval purposes that the single seam would be ok. I am actually trying to make a pattern to share if I can get my jacket approved I can share. I feel the hardest part about her costume is getting the jacket just right. I went out with my local squad today and they stressed on the seems of the jacket. Has me nervous.

  5. Hi Charlene. I have asked Eddi, our Juno model if she wouldn't mind taking a few pics of her costume's details. Until then, here are some details of the seams (and other stuff) in a regular imperial officer http://s1106.photobu...I?sort=3&page=1 The front would be different, of course. Also, Juno's tunic ends right about where the waist seam is on a regular officer's tunic.

Thank you for the photos. I will def. look forward to seeing the juno pics.

The officer jacket seems to have a double princess seem? From what I understood it only needed the one?

The link above, if you look at the back of the jacket was more what I was gearing it toward. I want to make sure thats ok?

  6. Hey Guys!

Charlene Here. So I was wondering if anyone had a completed and approved Juno jacket and would mind taking/posting pictures of their jacket? I want to see where the seems are how they did construction. I have already referenced the costume reference guide on 501st.com however the back doesn't really show the princess cut. I know what a princess cut is and how it should sit. I just want to see better photos of a jacket made and approved. I posted this both in my squad board and here so I can get a few photos. I am just eager to get going on what seems to be the toughest part of this costume.

    Thank you :)

  7. You definitely don't want silk. Steer clear of anything remotely shiny. Look for something heavy enough & with similar texture to be a military uniform.

Thats what I was going to go for. I was going to try something just a tad lighter weight but with the same look. Florida is awfully hot lol. I want to make it look amazing though so I will ultimately pick the best fabric for the outfit.

    Thank you :)

  8. I am going out this week to pick out fabric for my Juno Eclipse build. I am going off the sheet and it just says medium fabric for the jacket and hat. Any particular type? Or will most fabric be ok? Obviously I would NOT use silk, velour, etc. I would use close to uniform type fabric.

    Any help is appreciated.
