    Imperial Cadet. Optional Helmet Accessory:

    Helmet
    • Open faced style helmet consists of a dome and a faceplate.
    • Made of plastic, resin or fiberglass.
    • Dome and Face plate are painted white.
    • Dome Requirements are as follows:
      • Has the following options:
        • Regular Imperial Cadet without markings on the Dome.
        • Jai Kell: With blue markings and corresponding patterns.
        • Zare Leonis : With yellow markings and corresponding patterns.
        • Oleg: with green markings and corresponding patterns.
      • (2) black vent rectangles with one curved side pointing to the middle of the helmet above the eyes.
    • Face plate Requirements are as follows:
      • Face plate is white, matching the same color as the dome.
      • Eye sockets meet in the middle and use a flat dark lens.
      • Black frown runs across the front and angles upward at each side.
      • Two black vent squares are present underneath each eye.
      • There are two round "Air Filtration Nozzles", one on each side of the mouth, with (5) black vent lines. (3) spaced in the middle between them. (Two vertical and one Horizontal) (2) on top of the nozzles (one on each).

Three characters wear their helmets with very obvious visual differences. Did they all get a CRL? No.

I could honestly do this all day.

This is entirely correct , yet you're overlooking a point that several people brought up already and that keeps being brushed aside .

Hask is a Hero character like Iden and the rest of Inferno Squad , and by the end of the game , the main antagonist .
    He's NOT a generic character , period .

Or we might as well just delete the Hux CRL because he could be a Generic FO General , downgrade Tarkin to a Generic Grand Moff , etc ...

  2. All right , since there seems to be quite an argument going on about Hask , i'm going to throw my 2 Imperial credits here ...

The previous screenshots of the game have proved that there are differences between the petite redhead's uniform ( generic ) and Hask's , " minor " differences but differences nevertheless . In real life , we'd say this is due to the person's frame and thus tailoring constraints . But our references come from a video game , where tailoring constraints are - if anything - nonexistent and where everything if possible from a tailoring point of view .

So , that leaves us with two distinct uniforms , even if they're differentiated by minor differences like placement of the seams .
And regarding the colour being the same but appearing different under different lighting conditions , well , we've always been about ' screen accuracy ' haven't we ? So if the Game Devs say all uniforms are grey , but one looks black or has a blu-ish hue in a certain scene , well we make two different uniforms .

But for me it really gets down to one simpler thing that makes all the costume differences pretty irrelevant .

Hask has his own CRL as part of Inferno Squad , he's a main character in the game .
So , why should he suddenly fall into the " generic " category when he puts on a FO Uniform ? He remains a " Hero character " , does he not ?
So that really settles the issue in my opinion .

Hask should have his own CRL .

  3. Looks decent as a belt , but not really fancy ...
You could just order a regular Officer's belt , cut it your length and use it as an everyday belt , that's what i do when i don't wear my 501st belt buckle .

One is cut to be worn at the waist so i can't use it , but the other has several holes and is just long enough for that purpose .

Found some boots that better fit Director Krennic. Haven't bought them yet, but I am hoping to buy them tonight or tomorrow. Please let me know if these are better!

Thank you for all your help @Centauri!

    YES !!
If you can buy them DO SO !!

Heck , i'd even buy them myself for Reenactment if the guy had any clue as to what size they actually are . They'd make a nice addition to my Luftwaffe uniform ...

I was looking through a bunch of the builds and came across some strands that said the soviet boots and german boots are very similar. Therefore I started researching that version as well. Let me know what you all think about this find:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/soviet-military-russian-army-soldiers-uniform-boots-new/262347502069?hash=item3d152131f5

I am honestly at a loss here...can anyone help on where to find some boots? Much appreciated!

I don't know who suggested that Soviet boots look anything the same as German boots , because they clearly do not .

That's the topic you want to check .

As for the boots , they can be purchased easily from this website , but i'm not overly convinced on the look , the sole seems a little thin in my opinion , they're 90% good reproductions , not 100% good . Looks to me like they took your average equestrian boot and put the buckle flap in the back instead of trying to reproduce the thicker , sturdier look of the marching boot .

Okay, so in my research I haven't found boots that match the CRL that isn't a $200+ dollar shoe. Most of the images I have found of his boots (including images from the Battlefront game) don't include the buckle that is mentioned in the CRL. The only image I have found with any form of buckle is from the build of UnusedPizza, who also happens to be the CRL model.

Does anyone have any more images of this or some links on where to get cheaper boots? Please let me know! Thank you! :)

Several close-ups of the boots have been posted in the " general " Krennic CRL discussion that Dimentex created a whole while back , as well as the more generic " Rogue One " discussion thread that was created even before than . They have the buckle on the back , you can be assured of that , and also of the fact that they're impossible to find under +200$ .
Reason being they are WW-2 / Post-War German Officers boot , and that the buckle is actually non-regulation , but were still widely used and seen on boots that had been personally purchased by Officers " back in the days " . But that's essentially why people usually don't bother to make repro of non-reg items for Reenactment and the likes , otherwise you may as well start making repros of a hundred different kinds of jackets , gloves , etc ...

I would like to see a Generic Standard, as well as a Thrawn Face Character Standard.

While currently Thrawn is the only featured Grand Admiral in Rebel's there is president for the possibility of multiple officers at that rank or at the least a successor once (dare I say it) Thrawn dies.  This is evident from Aftermath:Life Debt with Rae Sloane rising to this rank.

Nooo , don't jinx the possibility of our beloved Thrawn dying again in such a short time-lapse :D

Sloane rose the ranks when the bigger part of Imperial High Command was gone , so she had a clear path to Grand Admiral so to say .
It'd be nice if they'd show another Grand Admiral in Rebels , we know that in the EU there were what , a dozen of them ? So it would at least allow us to allow generic ones , based on Canon material .

I loved Piett's cameo in lost stars

    Yes me too !
You briefly hear from him in one of the first chapter , then nothing for a whole while , then he's present for quite some time around the end of the novel .
Now that every previous novel and game is Legend , they could re-write our favourite Officers' backgrounds in the New Canon , i'm looking forward to the next cameo :D
It's already great that the New Canon authors actually bother writing a little more about Officers , back then it was almost a miracle if any appeared in any kind of media .

I think I would lose my mind in excitement if we saw a younger Veers in Rebels - I already cheered when we saw Tarkin a few seasons ago! :-D

Tarkin is like , the most popular Officer of all times , it's never much of a surprise to see him pop .

But damn yes , i would totally lose it if they'd throw in a Colonel Veers at some point . Come oooooon , everyone who's ever played a single Star Wars strategy game knows he's always been around , even before ANH . Same for a certain Captain Piett :D

  10. Definitely one of the best episodes so far :D
In the Legend Thrawn was an able fighter as well , and seeing an Officer fight is always a welcomed and refreshing view from the usual " hide behind Stormtroopers and be useless " Officer cliché .

I had hopes Kallus would permanently join the Ghost Crew , as him remaining on the Chimaera makes me fear for his life even more than before . He is entirely at Thrawn's mercy , the second the Rebel base is discovered he could be arrested and executed , although it's more like Thrawn to wait until he can lay a trap that would mean both the Rebels and Kallus' demise at the same time . Maybe they'll keep that for the season Finale or some later episode ( even season Four perhaps ? ) .

As for the possible appearance of movie characters , yes i definitely hope that will happen . Krennic in Rebels ? Yes please , where do i sign ? :P
They've already tied in with Rogue One a bit with Saw Gerrera on Geonosis , we've seen Death Troopers in the trailer accompanying Thrawn ...
Although i feel that they're not super keen on making movie characters appear unless it really serves their purpose .
I mean , i've had my hopes high a while back when a trailer had shown a battle involving AT-ATs , could've meant a brief Veers cameo before his promotion to General , buuut no .

  11. I wish they would re-do the old Imperial Officers with the quality Sideshow provides now :P

Still trying to collect the small Hasbro figures too .

The essential of my Imperial collection are my 3 Gentle Giant busts , Thrawn , Veers and Renz , which recently broke to bits after the shelf they were on fell off . Yaaaay !

Why do you have the Krennic , you don't even like him :D

  12. Oh my , Meg and Katie the explanations and pics you are sending are simply awesome , thanks a lot !! :D
This will help a great deal , and a lot of people i think !

  13. There is a The Old Republic comic book , but i haven't looked into it . I think there should be Officers in that one . And the official Art for the game could / should count as a third source as well .

I'm curious about what Mark will find out , because let's take the Soontir Fel CRL , it's based on his Comic book appearance , a few official illustrations , aaaand ? He's not in the movies , i don't remember him being in a game either ...

Besides , if the Sith Acolyte was accepted , why not the Agent as well ? :P
Granted the Sith Acolyte appears in the movie-like intro for the game as well ...

I am never a fan of glue if I can help it. The "pockets" you suggest is definitely an option. It would depend a lot on the type, style, and strength of the magnets used.

Those hardcore Rare Earth Magnets i keep hearing about that can magnet-ize anything i guess . I keep seeing people using them to hold armour pieces together when glue needs to cure . I tried with local magnets ... Well i ended up picking the roll of tape instead . ( On an armour , not my cape of course , that one i ended up sewing it straight to the tunic . Works like a charm ! )

  15. We could lose the method of attaching the cape . It would be up to everybody's preferences , would also allow people to get creative about the method of attaching the cape .

Well, I think that depends on how you choose to attach and whether the CRL after tweaking requires a specific way of it. I'm very certain you could devise a way with magnets that would involve no need for the snaps and would mean one could swap between the two relatively easily.

I thought of using earth magnets at first but since they're not available around here i would need to order some online .
What puzzles me a bit is how to attach the magnets to the cape itself . Do you think E6000 would do the trick ? Or it'd be better to sew small " magnet pockets " underneath the cape so that the magnets don't wander off , and you have the other half of it tucked under the tunic ?

Just to point out his hair changes length and colour during the non flashback scenes as well

Yes they're a lot more brown in the flashbacks .
They even look more brown during the destruction of Jedha City .
His haircut and colour is quite inconsistent throughout the movie , perhaps it'd be best if we're a bit more " lenient " about the hair ( grey / brown / greying brown / shorter / longer ) .

I was just thinking give the option for either.

As I pointed out in another thread, at some point we probably need to reclassify the Staff Officer as Rogue One and do a proper ANH Staff Officer CRL.

    Long range goals though.

Yeah you're probably right . If we're going to the long range goals , then we might as well tweak all the old CRLs at the same time . Let's do that ;)

For the tunic yes , the snaps will be an issue for everyone i think .
If anyone is planning to make both the cape and the raincoat versions , then having two separate tunics would be best .
One without snaps for both the raincoat and the flashback version , one with snaps for the cape :)

I also think while we're mucking with it we can throw in the flashback Krenic with no cape and the 6 red tiles.  Although the ISB officers in RO had the same tunic as Krennic, so that might just be an update to the ISB CRL?

Maybe keep the ANH ISB CRL as is . The fact that the tunic is the same as regular Officers in RO is most likely due to the fact that the costuming department isn't as picky as we are , but could be explained in-universe that the Weapons Research Department was " part " of the ISB , but not really ISB at the same time . So they adopted the colour , but could still be differentiated from their actual ISB counterparts .

Or add an addendum to the ANH ISB too . Why not .
ANH and RO versions , we insist they're different .

  19. 3 minutes ago, Dimentex said:

Since this is your purview now, I'll ask - are you of the opinion Rain Krennic should be an addendum, or a separate CRL?

At first i would've gone for a separate CRL like for Daala , but now that i think about it , an addendum should be sufficient .
The uniform itself doesn't change , it's just a matter of " if raincoat is worn , then cap should be worn too " .

We could even go as far as making a third variant where no cape and no raincoat and no cap is worn , rank is simply a 6 tiles red bar , as seen in the flashback scene in the Erso's apartment on Coruscant .

And if we want to be picky , the haircut he sports while wearing the raincoat always seems a bit longer than when he wears the cape . I suppose all the scenes where the raincoat is worn were shot at the same time .
