The CRL for Tarkin requires grey hair pulled back , both Isard CRL require black and white hair + blue and red eyes for Ysanne and finally the Daala CRL requires ginger hair and green eyes , just saying ...
If it bothers some that you are asked to replicate a character's appearance and claim it's discriminating , they should've done so a long time ago ...
You can wear a wig , you can use temporary dyes , you can wear lenses , there are many options , nobody is asking you to wear permanent dye or anything . I even think the CRLs states that if you can't wear lenses for medical reasons you can skip that requirements , so there are no excuses .

Yoda said : Do or do not , there is no try . Do only half the efforts on your costume you should not .

I think grey hair and blue eyes should be L1 requirements like with all the other costumes .

Oh yeah right , we could do like the 181st TIE fighter CRL and the different chest boxes or the compad / bracers !
Cape A ( raincoat ) or Cape B , if Cape A is worn , black cap is mandatory and thus not " optional " any more .

I think the rank bar is more " compact " but the tiles are pretty much the same . Since they reduced the spacing between the tiles and on the borders they probably managed to get it 1cm shorter or something .
Krennic doesn't seem to be a tall guy judging by the overall size of his uniform which was on display at several cons and his appearance on the live panel in London , but Ozzel and Piett are even smaller so the rank bar appear a little bigger on them

I beg to differ on the buckle thingy , i mentioned it several times right after Celebration as this detail was one of those which really got the attention of my WW2 Reenactor eye ( Along with Krennic's blaster being a Maschinenpistole 38 and the Officer's trench coats in the trailer being German rubber motorized infantry coats )

I think i also made note of the size of the sole which appears to be thicker than our average thin equestrian boots , i'm pretty certain those are actual military marching boots , and the buckle at the back and the rectangular stitching on the sides , i've seen them a lot before . Also , given how Rogue One uses a lot of WW-2 era material for the costumes , i'm 99% sure of it when i say :
Krennic's boots are reproductions of WW2 German Officer's boots , minus steel toe cap .

    Looking familiar ?

Sorry but where are we excluding anyone? No where do the CRLs mention skin colour (except Thrawn) Ethnicity or religion.

Personally I would use the levels to increase the accuracy requirements. But as Kris says face requirements exist on other costumes. We are not discriminating, if a costumer can achieve a realistic representation of a face character they will clear. Hair colour is easy enough to achieve with wigs / hair dye. We have some excellent female General Hux costumers, the level of detail they have gone to is amazing. Where it's possible to compromise we do. If people can't meet the requirements of a face character, try for a similar generic character, in this case an ISB officer. You could possibly where a cape at non canon events, in the U.K. we only do canon troops, so forgive me if I'm not clear on the exact allowances with non canon, though I have seen a high degree of freedom and interpretation.

Many other CRL have the same requirements for face characters so i vote it stays there is nothing discriminating about changing hair colour as anyone can do that

I think they look great !

    They're leather boots , military type / Officers type , so it's perfect .

Now don't worry , there's very little chance those boots were worn by an Officer working in Auschwitz , they were probably never worn at all . Besides , the guy mentions they are not original WW2 era boots although they are from Germany . Original boots , worn or mint condition from WW2 with an original date stamp to prove they were made between 1939 and 1945 are usually worth nearly the double of those . My guess is those are just post-war army surplus from the 50's - 60's
People just love to sell things that are allegedly from WW2 era because the title is more catchy and Reenactors are always on the hunt for original pieces of equipment .

That scene and possibly a couple others take place when Jyn is young , so about 10-15 years before the actual events of Rogue One i guess , i like how they made variants of the uniforms , it suggests that it was later " improved " to a more standard look , the regular OT look .
It's a nice place to put a little cog too , it sort of lacks from most Imperial costumes in general .

Can't wait for Rogue One !!

I think the blaster should be optional, for said reasons, if you have the blaster you should have the holster; and a holster by itself would look a little foolish.

The weapon should be optional due to some countries not allowing them the holster however would not be

Height isn't one of those things that I don't remember have metric equivalents, really need to remember to add them to every dimension I post on the internet

I did some emailing about the buttons with EAO a while ago, but they were only pointing my back towards the 01-901 series buttons. They may have sourced the originals from somewhere in Europe, as I think the ones the UK members have been using are brighter/clearer than the EAO ones. (But I haven't seen any direct comparisons)

I would not write off riding boots yet as the ones he wore in the panel did not look like the ones on display the cape also looked different

I purchased one of these by mistake last year. Unfortunately, they are not 1:1 scale  (more like 3/4 scale) and are undersized as compared to a real Mauser, MCG or a Denix replica. Maybe if you have small hands, or are smaller in stature it's not a big deal either way. I built mine on an all metal Denix with metal machined parts. It's heavy as heck but more more "true to life" as it were lol. Please post pics of build when you can. I'm always excited to see others' work
