I had spam folder issues early on but I finally got around to sending my measurements 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since. I sent a follow-up email 5 days ago with no reply yet. I'm not in a huge rush but it would be nice to know what's going on.

I waited a week to hear back on my initial inquiry only to discover that he had gotten back to me the next day and it was in my spam folder. It might be worth double/triple checking to make sure your filters aren't overzealous.

To anyone out there who has already ordered from imperialboots or anyone with riding boot knowledge:
I'm going to be ordering these boots soon and I had a question about the measurements. How far below the kneecap do you think should "A6" be? I really want to make sure I get this right. Any thoughts?

After looking at your build thread, I think you've sold me. I actually got the last DL-44 that Amazon had in stock and it's on its way now. I have a number of questions about your build though and I was wondering if I might be able to PM you a small list. I think I'd eventually like to create a step-by-step tutorial/parts list so that future builders can learn from my mistakes (which I'm sure will be many).

Since I'm almost done with my crew costume (still searching for boots), I figured I would look ahead toward future projects. I'm planning to build either a Merr Sonn Power 5 or a DL-44 (or both) but I can't decide which way to do it. As best as I can tell, there are basically three methods. You can start with a hasbro blaster and mod it, you can start with an airsoft/prop gun and mod it, or you can buy resin parts from doopydoos and put it together yourself.
I'd really like to know if any of you have strong opinions one way or the other on which one of these strategies is the best. Any input on this would be much appreciated and even if you don't want to type something, you can sound off in the poll.

Francois got back to me and confirmed my measurements and payment has been sent for a pair of officer boots. I'll post pictures in my WIP thread when they get here (hopefully soon)!
