Tristan, I have made hundreds if not thousands of this compad and sold hundreds if not more as well. All of these have been 501st approved. You are mistaken on your review of my work. My compad has four buttons. Two that have the circular details on them and the two other with slightly raised square details on them in order for them to stand out more with the others. It's a makers mark or what we as prop makers will call a tell tale mark. This is what we do to keep our work from falling into the hands of recasters. My buttons are configured this way, so my work doesn't get mistaken for someone else's work. This being said, it does have the four buttons that are required for it to be screen accurate. I looked at the image close up of my compad and due to the lighting, angle, and matt finish black paint they are very difficult to make out in the image he provided.

    Thanks, DTR1

501st approval is for the base costume, there are higher levels of accuracy which some detachments offer, on IOC there is Executor Level 2, Imperator Level 3. Guidelines can be found in the CRL's (costume reference library) http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbyname For Scanning Crewman http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IC_imperial_scanning_crew
