Here are some of the pattern (will try to add more soon) and picture of the build for Line/Staff/Krennic Poncho

    Take note that

    1) Krennic's Cape is much longer then the Line/Staff officer's cape

    2) Krennic front have a pocket. But the Line/Staff officer do not have.

The patterning is pretty easy it is just the sewing the detail of the line can be hard. So do change the needle on the sew machine if you are planing to do it yourself. Using the normal needle can sometime cost the sting to jump a few sticting. Do be careful when sewing waterproof fabric as once you poke a hole, the hole stays.

    Needle: Microtex

The cape is more of a rectangle shape. So cut two of this. And if you have a mannequin, it will be better. so you can pin the cape to the top part nicely.

It will be better to pin and see where you want the below part to be.

This is my test mock up on krennic's pocket. I think it is called a Welt Pocket.
Here are some of the links on how to do it

The Opening of the top cape
ok this is how I did it.

ok. You can see the different in the cape length of it.

If you really want to be more waterproof (not for heavy rain), you can try to spray waterproof spray onto the costume (or for your daily wear too!). But every how and then you have to spray it. Because the waterproof spray do not stay onto the outfit very long. It is really usefull for hats! I did use some of the waterproof spray when I go oversea on my hat or my jacket when there is light rain like England.....

    It looks something like this.

    Hello!  Friendly neighborhood LMO here

I have a punchlist of CRL work going with IOC Staff that I keep updated.  I thought it would be beneficial for the detachment members at large to see the sorts of things we have completed, are working on, and are planning to work on.

I will keep both threads updated, and notify when updates occur

I have been looking since I 1st saw these coats and whilst some have come close they have not been quite right, button holes for example.

That really looks great. Congratulations on that progress.

As far as Ellen an I could see it in the pictures, the inner part ot the collar seems to be lined with a different fabric than the rest. It appears to be a little matte. So maybe they used something with wool or valvet for this.

Concerning the fabric for the outer coat: I ordered a coat from ebay some time ago. It was stinking to the death and did not match the pattern of the movie-coat by far. I am afraid it was a similar one as shown in the links above. So keep your hands of that stuff =D
The main material appears to be closer to the fabic of the raincape, even though it might be a little stiffer or thicker.

I found the same coat on e-bay, sadly totaly wrong. This would make another great addition, for both Line and Staff Officers.

Even if we don't have irish weather in Austria we do have bloody cold winters and a coat is always nice.

not the same sadly.  Not the right fabric and completely missing the pleated cape portion on the top of the back.

that is just about all of them.  The guy smiling in the second to last photo passed by two black uniformed (and trenchcoated) officers who are with a Twilek.  That is why he is smiling.

To my understanding this is a Belgian Army motorcycle trenchcoat.  I am trying to acquire one for reference.  In the meantime I am working with a costume replica company to help produce one.  They do not have the Star Wars license, but the only thing that makes this Star Wars is the belt and belt boxes.  Doing the trench coat as seen should be fair game and they are working on a prototype.  I would be glad to share the results with people here.

I have two other costume jackets that they have made.  Both were not just of impressive accuracy, but quality that would make it last for years.  They specialize in outer garment wear.  I could get one myself made, but I want to have a place that everyone can go and get one.

I am starting on the green one.  I gave them a swatch of the fabric used to make my uniform so they can color match.  I'll let you know what I find out.

Because this got me thinking, this is my Officer mates back in March.
Source of uniform from Right to Left (aka, front to back):
    eBay China find
    Cosplaysky in Grey
    Cosplaysky in olive
    ANOVOS

So, theoretically, if you got the Cosplaysky you could darken it closer. However, it's more likely you'll end up with a grey unless you are adding green to the mix. It's not a guaranteed thing that the underneath colour would show through, so you'd really want to be careful about watching it. And then there's the "dry and wet colours aren't the same" thing too.

I dunno. It's possible, but even with my dye experience I'd rather dye from white or just buy different material and make rather than risk it.

Unless ofc you're willing to just dye it black if all goes pearshaped.

from some of the screen shots from the finale of season three, Thrawn's armor and helmet looks like it is a closer match for the AT-AT Commander helmet and armor with smaller changes. Those changes being color, a few button designs and the layout of things. I figured we could assume its closer to that since in the episode ***spoiler alert*** he is seen leading the ground assault in which it they have both AT-DPs and AT-At walkers, but it appears he moves in with the AT-ATs. Just from what I've been looking at.

    Hi there!
My name is Cari, and I am an LMO this term.  One of six.  My lead is Eric, a.k.a Darth Aloha.  Same guy as last year, yes   He's been stuck in the Land of Crickety Internet for the past couple weeks, so has not had a chance to come here and post, but will soon, I am sure.

Each of the LMO's will be repping and caretaking one of several Detachments.  The IOC is one of mine.  *cheer!*

The IOC Detachment has a lot on deck this year ... from new builds to current build edits, both major and minor.  Really looking forward to working with you to get these CRL's all shiny and polished.

    Good to meet you

The Death Troopers will make an appearance.  They will be under Thrawn though.

It would be good to see Krennic in the show.  At the end of this season we will still have two more years until Rogue One.  Filoni said that he is toying with the idea of showing the Battle of Scariff from the perspective of the Rebels cast.

This week's episode of Rebels entitled "Through Imperial Eyes" is a must see for IOC Officers! The entire episode involves the Imperial Security Bureau and there is so much great officer detail. Keep your eyes peeled. And they actual show the USE of code cylinders! Definitely check it out.
