bdh1138 got a reaction from Laconius in Official IOC Rank Guide
This seems relevant to our interests: Glyn Dillon just shared the rank scheme they used for Rogue One (and presumably Solo) on Instagram

It's a minor note compared to the rest of this, but the wording for the slit in the back of the cape is wrong. It definitely does not begin below the knee, it should come up about to the crotch.

Congrats to Michael for being the first approved and the CRL model.

Confirmation of the hooks, and their purpose:
And since it's "thumbs" we can assume that there is one hidden among the blaster bits on his other side.

Well, scratch that "wondering". Some pics from a recent pinewood display have me pretty convinced they are held on by leather loops on the top half of the belt. I still can't find anyone who god a good angle showing the bottom of the ammo clip itself though...

Here's a nice large version for everybody. I'm not really seeing much detail past what we already got in Battlefront that the silver portion is the back of the "chamber" section popped off. A couple of pics have me wondering if the section that slots into the chamber goes into a loop on the belt rather than clipping on, but I'm still not sure exactly how that section should look. Fingers crossed for a good shot in the visual guide!

You misunderstand me. There is no one on IOC or Legion boards that makes a completed rank bar with push buttons - at least not that I have seen. And having priced them out, even if say I or you or Kris were to start making them, they wouldn't compare in price to the plexiglass.
For comparison - are we going to require screen accurate boots for level 1, given there is exactly ONE maker found ad they're $450 a pop? That would immediately exclude probably 90% of the people working on this costume from submitting for quite some time.
I don't see it as a margin of inaccuracy - I see it as looking like the character to the average joe's eyes, and L2/L3 is looking like you walked off the screen to OUR eyes. We already have fairly detailed requirements anyway - demanding absolute screen accuracy for even admission on this character, simply because... what? We want the elitist label back?
I respect your opinions, and trust me, I'm working to get accurate rank bars - but I currently have neither the tools nor the talent to make them. I'm a computer tech, not a costume designer. And I don't feel that Tigg's bars are that far off - not one single person looked at my costume this weekend and said "those rank bars are wrong."
Do I know they can be improved? Hell yes. Same with the boots. But again, if you're going to demand 100% screen accuracy on this ONE part, why not on all parts? Why even have levels? You have to have 100% accurate stitching, you have to have the belt with the notches and the right code disk, you have to have the gun and holster (sorry to anyone who lives in a country that doesn't allow it), you have to have the right boots, and so on.
I feel like we're being a little ridiculous here.

It appears the poncho is not exclusive to Krennic, and this new image gives a pretty good idea of how they're constructed!

Well, if you look at that new poster you linked there, the cape collar appears to be shorter than the tunic collar. So I think they are actually the same height (they looked it at Celebration) but it depends on how things are sitting. If they were the same height and not attached near the collar, that would explain the different views.
Also, rather than trying to put a specific size on the stitching of the collar, make its height look right and insist on the right number for the CRL would be my recommendation. It might not be 1/4" on you, but it might be on someone else. For instance if I had a 3.25" collar, I would look comical, almost moving towards Count Dracula. -

Well, on the topic of gloves, the new character poster shows some more details. Looks like they have a snap. I think I also see the end of a long sleeve under his tunic too.

I figured the metal bars themselves were shorter, so they're 1/8" apart rather than 1/4". To me, it looks like there's noticeably more space between the rank plaque and the seam on the front flap for Krennic than Ozzel or Piett had.

I disagree. In this shot you cancel early see *something* on the outside of his boots.

I don't see a huge difference between his uniform items and anything we've seen before, besides his big ol' capetastic cape of course. Maybe down the road, we'll add the little differences for L2/L3.

Space Bear was episode VIII's production code name (I believe Rogue One was called Los Alamos) so they were probably for something completely different.
Oh, and here's a huge version of a still that was released today. I'm not noticing anything particularly new in it, but I figured it was worth throwing in here just in case.

Man, what I wouldn't give for a big side view with the cape fully unfurled...

Hey, anyone else obsessing over Krennic's gorgeous cape may want to check out this Flickr album. It's full of fantastic high res shots showing seams, overlaps, and every detail they could get pictures of from the celebration display!

Just saw some pictures of his black series 6 inch figure (which will now forever be "Buddy Hux" in my mind) and there are a couple of interesting things. He's carrying an all black version of the officer pistol we've seen with the stormtroopers.
And also the first shot I've seen of the back of his overcoat with any deal detail to it. Looks like some interesting layers here and it really makes me wish for some good pictures of the actual costume showing some of these parts.

So these are the re-submission pics we sent in the other night. Though, we're making changes so these aren't considered truley finished yet. We're going to do an actual photoshoot later on once we feel it's all done
Note, that since these were re-submission for showing the additions/corrections, I didn't have him get his hair and stuff gelled up
Front/Back
Boot covers/shins
Belt/Belt Loop correction
This is as of today though.
We found a pair of short ankle boots at a Payless which looked really good. Has an excellent appearance. These are the boots we're going to be painting the soles. The boot straps aren't completely dry yet, but I'm gonna black wash them a little bit
The belt buckle was modified, we removed the movie-style greeblie and found this really high-polished washer which looked good for the size and overall appearance.
So that's where we're at.
We found a relatively plain pair of neoprene gloves, but if we find something better later on, we're going to get those. To add, we're going to be making the "guantelet" portion the same manner as we did the boot covers. Overall, it'll appear more accurate.
Aside from that, we're going to re-do the collar. I've thought of ways to possible make a "removable collar" built in a similar way people make the TK neckseals, that way, instead of needing a new top, if you want to be a season 2 kallus, you just change out the collar.

His blaster pistol from Siege of Lothal seems to be the same model used by Azmorigan in Idiot's Array, if you're looking for more opportunities to grab reference pics.
