  1. Mine isn't as cool, but I did it myself all analog style. I have resized a picture of myself, printed and cut it out with an xacto knife, and found the back ground I wanted and added titles in paint, then scanned myself in with my scanner. I do want to do a fancy digital one soon, but I need higher quality res images. Plus I was waiting approval to put our new squad logo on there!

  2. Ran across this on Ebay this morning:

If these are your sizes and you missed out on Museum Replicas' Office Uniform, this is perfect for you.  I'm donezo with my Line Officer, this wouldn't have fit me anyway. Looks like a pretty good deal. Check it out!

  3. I had my pocket side 1 slightly longer than side 2 so I can overlap at the bottom of the pocket for strength. Sew.

Here's what it looks like complete. Iron flat.

Last time on my staff officer jodhpurs, I secured the pocket with metal snaps. I found on troops the snap would come open and annoy me. This time, velcro. Beats carrying your phone in your boot!

Hope this is helpful to someone. It is basic sewing for those that make their own uniforms, but an easy pocket for novice seamsters and someone who needs it done quick!

  4. Either by machine or hand, sew it to the outside, keeping the stitches relatively close to the pocket hole

Now turn the pants inside out, and pull pocket side 1 through the hole, pin down on the inner (wrong)  side. Iron flat, no steam.

Pin on the right side out so that it won't catch on the sewing machine

Back on the inside, pin pocket side 2 to pocket side 1. Put them towards center so you have room for the sewing machine foot to run by

  5. If you were like me and received jodhpurs from Cosplaysky that have this:

Great place for a pocket, too bad they only give you a flap. So Let's make a pocket at least big enough for a smart phone and some cards. It's not like you sit down at troops anyways.

First pin that annoying flap up and out of the way. Measure where you want the opening to be (roughly center, smaller than flap) and chalk it out.

Find some strong lining material, like this scrap rayon lining. Figure out how big you want, cut 2.

Draw your measured line on the pocket side 1, cut with xacto knife. Do the same on line under flap

Pin pocket side 1 to right side (outer pants over flap), being careful to line up the holes

  6. I would tend to agree. The reason people thought there were gray and olive line officers in ANH  for the longest time is because of lighting having an effect on the color. This seems to me to be the artist showing an olive gray uniform in lower light, making it look dark gray. In my comic it actually seems to look greener.

  7. Found out last week they accidentally made mine in black and had to start over, d'oh. Mine should be coming soon, hopefully next week. Will post Line Officer WIP when it arrives for a review. Sophie and Mr. Xi have left the company, so custom requests go through a guy named Jerry, who has so far been easy to work with. We'll see how this one comes out.
