Garry "Fenrir16" Juarez requesting an advisor in the Sacramento, California in the USA for Imperial Staff Officer. Extremely excited to get started.

Side note: I will be moving to Johnstown, Pennsylvania early next year, so if there's an advisor in those parts, I'd appreciate the help.

I don't actually want to emulate that particular ANH officer, I just want to use the rank of Ensign on a non-ANH Staff Officer but I've only seen the rank depicted on him. That's where the main question came from; would I be able to make, say, a regular ESB/ROTJ styled Staff Officer outfit with the rank of Ensign (two red tiles, two cylinders, two belt boxes) despite the fact that that particular rank tile is only shown in ANH?

I was hoping that the Lvl 3 requirements simply meant someone trying to make an ANH Staff Officer was limited to the four tile styles the CRL mentioned while anyone doing a non-ANH Staff Officer like I'd like to was allowed to do tile/cylinder/box combinations of any rank so long as it was from any canon officer from any movie.

I would assume an ensign in ROTJ would have the same combo as the example ensign from ANH, but I haven't found any shown in the other movies so I wasn't sure if ensign was therefore considered an "ANH Staff Officer Exclusive" rank for someone looking at a Lvl 2 or 3 non-ANH Staff Officer.

Remember the black officers in Rotj don't wear rank bars or code cylinders just belt boxes

Has anyone had experience on getting their hat off a listing from Etsy? The hat is the next piece I'm wanting to get for a couple of builds, and don't know who is trustworthy or not (if any).

    i.e, https://www.etsy.com/listing/197982530/star-wars-imperial-officer-caps-501st?ref=rv_more-1-3

This listing has "501st approvable" in the title listing, and didn't know if was meant to be clickbaity or not, and someone in the review section of the listing claimed it was approved.

    Yes that's a good hat

Would it be a good idea to give the warrant officers there own prefix number instead of the sharing the staff /line officer ID it might help generate interest the Rotj warrant officer has just been a optional on the staff officer  crl and doesn't really get noticed

I had a quick look at the new starwars on the front line book in the battle of endor it has a black uniformed officer it states that he is a major which is a commissioned rank a officer A warrant officer isn't a commissioned rank in the British army it's a Sargent major a senior older experienced solider who as moved up the ranks maybe the Rotj warrant officer should change to Rotj staff officer then the new anh warrant officer crl can just be the jack boot straight leg version

ACD got the General Veers costume (transformed into AT-AT Commander) because he commanded the AT-AT forces.  That was before my time, and I'll not comment on whether or not I agree with it.  Nor do I particularly wish to rehash that debate.

That does not mean that every single officer costume with battle armor necessarily goes to ACD.  Their mandate, specifically is " ... facilitates the Research, Archiving, Development & Creation for all Imperial Ground Assault Vehicle Operators/Commanders of the Star Wars saga."  Not "Anyone with officer uniform and chest armor"  :)

In the case of these officers such as Rebels Thrawn, Pryce, etc, that already have existing costumes represented, they are seen donning battle armor once or twice on screen, and not specifically and only to command ground assault vehicles.  It makes more sense to me, and the current LMO Team, to simply add in said Battle Armor as an optional accessory to their respective CRL.  Once someone actually make it to reference, that is.

    Makes sense to me

Hi, I was trying to join the 501st. I had purchased the deluxe imperial dark gray naval line officers uniform. But I was rejected. I was told the gray uniform was not be accepted by that garrison or maybe the 501st any more. It has t taken me over a year to put it all together  I know the boots are not appropriate. But they were all I could find this year.

Sorry to hear this it's really important to ask advice on this forum and your gml before purchasing stuff post up pics of the stuff you have we might be able to do something

Please can we stop trying to get all elitist at Level 1?  Even Kris and Cari said it's good, albeit for different reasons, but still.

I'm far from elitist and this is only a discussion and the result looks like the chalk holders are staying but with a better reference picture in the crl so it's a result
