  1. I was gonna reply tonight, but I'm happy let another advisor take the lead. Thanks Rebecca! I am located in NYC (Empire City Garrison) which would be  his home base, but I don't think where we are matters much in this instance. I'm happy to be available as well if desired. Best of Luck!

Robert (LIFett19) requesting an advisor in the Long Island New York area for help with an Imperial Staff Officer (Black).  This is my first build.

Hi Robert. I’m based in Brooklyn, so howdy neighbor. I’d be happy to help you any way I can. Feel free to pm me and we’ll get you on the path

Jonathan "Trundell" Loiselle in Austin TX requesting advisor for Grand Moff Tarkin and Stormtrooper. Will be my first builds and I have no idea how to start!!

Hi Jonathan, I'd be happy to help you with your Grand Moff Tarkin endeavor. Feel free to reach out to me any time. How can I help?

  4. Maybe I missed the answer to this, but one of the questions I posed earlier is about the color of the clips - Have we firmly established that all the dosimeters seen on R1staff officers had silver or brass clips (as well as blue tops - although I sincerely doubt this) or is it more likely a completely random hodgepodge of both?

To my eye for example, the dosimeter seen on one of the officers on Edhu with ponchos  (on the left), looks too long from the clip to the top of the cylinder to be the brass clip/blue tops, and more likely to be the thinner silver clip/silver top (although I can't get a better closeup to prove or disprove this, but I do personally own a version of almost each type to spot the difference).

My point again is, I think trying to pin this down to specifics will be difficult at best given that just about every different scenario exists onscreen - boxes with dosimeters, no boxes with dosimeters, silver tops, blue tops, brass clips vs silver, no dosimeters at all ,etc, etc. I believe for L1 they should be optional, For L2 and most certainly L3 - they should be required to match more closely a specific character we see on screen.

The "shield gate officer" with a  helmet is another example of this - is he a staff officer who decided to wear a helmet, or a NT with a rank?

**EDIT** - My last question appears to have been answered for me in another thread -

That said, I believe the helmet should be an optional item for the R1 Staff officer with that matching rank (L2, L3)

EDIT: Later on, there's a full-length image of an officer in the Holiday Special wearing this with straight-legged pants instead of jodhpurs.

I'm not sure it's worth using this god-awful thing as evidence, but it does have code cylinder pockets.

Not sure If we should be using the Holiday Special as reference either, otherwise we might end up with this lol

I'm assuming that the Tigg-wolf buttons are the correct size?? So the PNC button is too large then and wouldn't meet approval. Is this correct???

I was going to go to the store tomorrow after work to check them out. If they're too large, then you've saved me a 45min drive each way in crazy KL traffic.

They are the correct size for the OT rank bars (approx 12x18mm). The larger buttons are more accurate for R1 (approx 18x23mm) I believe.

  7. Here's all the reference I have - sorry if anyone has posted these previously (just hedging my bets). Black, green or both for me.  I soooooooooo want this to happen!

  8. I have size 14 (US) EEEE feet thanks to bunions and a few surgeries and EVERY custom boot maker I've  reached out to said they could do longer no problem, but not wider. They all claim to use the same basic blank for the sole. In the end, I got super lucky with a pair of Soviet officer's boots size 48 (EU) and with a little stretching, they fit like a glove. Happy hunting!
