Hello everyone,  I hope everyone is having a great day. It's just my opinion but I personally think the most underrated imperial officer has to be Daine Jir. Everyone remembers his lines during the capture of princess leia. His commanding presence event standing next to Vader. ( not to mention, not having any fear or voicing his opinions. Something senior officers had trouble doing ). Yet, that's it. No mention of what of what ever happened to him. I know he was referenced in the death star book, but the character was never expanded. I think someone should write a book with him as the main character.  (Yes, that's a suggestion to all you writer's out there). Well that's my opinion, just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Our Garrison has been discussing the Photobucket dilemma for many months, formulating alternatives.  I, personally, have used Imgur for quite a while now.  But, who's to say that Imgur doesn't somehow begin to go a similar route someday.  My suggestion to the Garrison is to acquire our own cloud, like an HP My Cloud NAS system, or similar.  Granted, you have the cost of purchasing the unit, but after that it's all yours.
 
I have not investigated whether it serves as a viable option if you need to hotlink to pictures.  However this, and many other forums, are providing an attachment system anyway, so hotlink images may not be absolutely necessary.  The files are accessible via the cloud.

Sadly, this is why I advise that a photo hosting service is never your SOLE storage mechanism.  I know it is for many people, and that can be a problem when things like this happen.

If you guys haven't noticed, Photobucket image hosting is down. Though the banner says temporarily locked out, having read the terms of service that have just changed, it seems photobucket has decided it's free service will no longer support 3rd party image hosting. To retrieve your photos, you must agree to pay a minimum of 199.99!!! I had decided a year ago or so that their ads were annoying and switched to Imgur, but many photos in tutorials and most of my Troop Log will have to be redone. I will not pay that for terrible service! Those of you who use photobucket should jump ship for other image hosting sites that are free! i will slowly work on updating my pics in my troop thread, but I sense many resources across the legion's boards will be lost to this update. I cannot track down all of my pictures going back to 2014 on individual threads!

thought I got the Blaster cheap and had to fill a lot of gaps. Take it easy and use 3D Printed Parts.

I agree, can be a Problem since all Imperial Movie Characters are male ones. Didn't realize this as a Problem.

I hesitated to post this topic in the IOC-forum because I think it is a general issue that concerns all costumes and not just the officer tunics. Unfortunately, the topic did not get as much attention in HQ forum as it did in the Facebook-group and most people that participated in the discussion were IOC-members, so I might as well post the topic here.
 
First, I want to make clear that this topic is not necessary about changing the existing CRLs. It is more about how woman can adjust the officer tunics and flight suits in the frame of the existing CRLs to fit their body and look sharp and still be approved. I would like to have some expert opinions on what is permitted and what not for future reference. Are extra darts that are visible on the sides of the breast permitted? Are visible extra darts on the waist seam permitted? What about extra princess seams on the front of the tunic? I do not mean the straight looking ones that could be hidden by the yoke of the line or staff officer tunics. I mean the more rounded ones similar to the ones on the back of the tunics. What about an extra seam straight down the back?

Most of you are at Celebration, so you probably either saw or heard that finally, there is going to be a 6" Thrawn figure in the Black Series

Finally put together a case for all my extra stuffs.  A friend gave me her old camera case - I'll probably replace the foam after a while, I got quick and inexpensive on the pick and pull foam, and while it works, moving it in and out shows why it was so inexpensive

Did someone say (black) staff officers with BLACK coat??!! Oh please oh please, I hope this can become an optional accessory
 

Auz comic con gave the opportunity for my first troop in the Officer... Truly was nice to troop without armour for a change.

Greetings brothers and sisters, I'm in need of solid and experienced advice here. I bought from hammerheart44 an Imperial Cap black, and I'm not satisfied with it's quality. While it hold out for approval I feel there's MUCH better out there but I'm reticent to buy something outside of the European Union due to high tax rates. 

My my question is, which maker/seamstress do you have good experience with and recommend in the EU?
