  1. Don't worry about starting a PayPal dispute. That's what it's there for. If they are going to use poor business practices, that is your way to assure you don't lose your hard earned money. Open the dispute. If they come up with the product, great. If not, you haven't lost your money. I have launched a few of these. Most of the time, if it is a misunderstanding, the business understands. If they want to use the service, they have to be above board.

Staff Officers are responsible for admin and logistics. At least in every Military unit I've ever worked with. Just because a Stormtrooper Officer's uniform is black doesn't make him Staff.

I think someone who was not in the military came up with the name staff officer. They are not the same thing as in the real world military. We have seen them in charge of bunkers, in charge of navy troopers, in c&c centers, and with R1, with rank and more responsibility. That is the reason I chose to make a staff officer. There was some talk a few years ago about trying to change the name, which I am all for, just for this reason.

Try these. I think you'll be happy.

These are the ones my girlfriend was approved with. It wasn't difficult to remove the strap and I painted the buckle on top. These boots worked really well for her.

  4. I have bought those very boots for my girlfriend, from that seller. They can be approved but they are not good boots. They are pebbled leather which will not take a shine and will not look smooth. My recommendation, if you can't find your size in a good pair of boots, is to look at motorcycle / engineer boots. They typically come with a strap across the front but it is easily removable and looks much better with a bit of work.

  5. Those seem fine. The seam in the back is a bit odd, they usually have a leather cover-strip but it is nothing that should keep you from approval. I have boots similar and have been cleared to L3. And they are well broken in, which is a plus when it comes to walking in them.

  6. Typically equestrian boots are made narrow and the same boot will be marketed for men and women. A few are specified as being wide. Before you spend several hundred dollars on custom boots check eBay for equestrian boots. I have found several pair on there for a lot less than it will cost you to buy new. You will have to wade through all the "man-made leather" boots that are somehow allowed to be sold as leather but you can typically tell which are which. Buy a size larger and get an insole. Equestrian boots are not the most comfortable thing you will wear but they can be made better with a good insert.

Being thin, you will have issues with most boots. I have skinny legs and have always had problems there. You can add padding around the inside, down far enough so it is not showing or just allow your pants to blouse out a bit (I emphasize a bit) so it covers any space between your leg and boots. That is what I do and you generally can't tell. Good luck.

  7. I don't pay (though I should because they are crap with the ads) and mine are still up. So far so good. Hopefully we can get some confirmation either way on what's going on. I'm too lazy to switch to another service is the only reason I haven't. But for the record, I hate photobucket with a passion.

  8. Probably not. Though some folks have been approved with worn down pebbled leather boots, these are very obvious. There isn't enough polish out there to cover those in and they are going to look terrible and not be approved. Spend a little extra and get some good ones with smooth leather.
