Welcome back.

Last year I bought a black jedi belt from them for my husband and also some jedi food capsules. The food capsules were OK but the belt was terrible. We took it apart. We used the buckle and the studs to make on out of leather.

Thanks, BJ. Sounds like my second collar could be just right. I just have to make sure that it is nice and stiff when I sew the real one.

I'm sewing an ISB and a warrant officer and have a question. How tight should an officer collar be? How many fingers should fit in it when closed? The first collar that I made for my mock-ups was very tight. Like skin tight. I could barely close it. The second collar seems to a little loose.

My first 501st legion costume was a jawa. I'm only 159cm (5 foot 2.5 inches) tall and never sewed a costume before so I thought that was the best way to go. I love my jawa but I also what at least one or two costumes where I can see and breath without any problems. That is why I sewing a warrant officer and ISB at the moment.
My very first troop was Eagle Con at Ramstein Air Force Base Germany. It was a lot of fun. Some people thought I was an ewok. Others said that I was to tall for a jawa. I have heard comments similar to that at least once every troop but I don't mind. I love trooping too much to let comments bug me.
I wonder what they will say about my IOC costumes. Probably something, such as aren't you a little short for a officer. Or perhaps worse aren't you to fat to be an officer.

From my experience in dyeing fabric I would say the following. You can dye something with a light color to make it darker. For instance you could dye an olive uniform black but not the other way around. Another problem can be the thread that is used. I once dyed a white karate-gi black but the thread of all the seams stayed white.

Thank you BJ. I hope my GMOs think the same thing when I'm finished with sewing the uniform.

Are these boots for my warrant officer still approvable? I had a cobbler add some extra leather (black) because I couldn't find any boots that would fit my 20.5 inch calves.

I'm playing X-Wing Alliance at the moment. Before that I played KOTOR 2. I'm planning on playing X-Wing vs. TIE-Fighter soon. Is there a good site to download X-Wing, Dark Forces and TIE-Fighter? Do they run on Windows 7 or 8 computers? I can't install my old version of X-Wing and I don't have TIE-Fighter or Dark Forces anymore.
