I'd work as an extra just to keep the costume.

No. It's very clearly rank, and they even discuss the progression as ranks in the novel.
Like I said, though, it doesn't matter all that much. Just an annoying pet peeve of mine.

No, as Thrawn is not a pilot.
-
The consensus is yeah, it's a rip off.
-
Also, I totally read this title in the voice of Ralph Wiggum.

A more in depth trailer

Haha, nice.

I'm excited, now. I've been worried because of all the rumors, but it looks good.
But I'm not done with the football game (see my garrison there?)

Just saw the trailer, I'm actually excited for it.
And yes, some interesting uniforms.

Yeah I don't think it needs a military crease - I don't recall them having that in the films. But a good pressing and polish is nice.
Or that's my plan, anyway.

Well yeah I know they're a mess, but in this very specific instance, there's a proper chart from LFL!
It doesn't ruin th story or anything - I've changed it in my head.
-
But by now the story group has that chart they did for Rogue One, so it seems weird.

I'm about halfway through the first Thrawn book, and I'm enjoying it. However, a little disappointed that Zahn got the ranks wrong (I don't think it's too m,uch of a spoiler to say that officers get promoted throughout the novel), especially with all the work done by the story group to make them as consistent as possible.
To go from Senior Lieutenant to Captain, and then answer to a Commander?
Weird. -

In real life, they're strictly decorative. I'm not sure I've seen any that can open. In the films? Probably carrying things like blaster backs, ID, credits, tools, and whatever else an officer/crewman needed.

Trying to figure out ranks from ANH is painful

That's... oddly passive aggressive my dude and also missed the point of what I was saying.
Katie's point was size.
My point was a square is not a rectangle, and they are not equal regardless of size.If we're being pedantic, a square is, in fact, a rectangle.
"In Euclidean plane geometry, a rectangle is a quadrilateral with four right angles."
A rectangle is not a square, though.

I really want one, even if I only ever use it in photos around the house (and maybe if I ever find a Fathier to ride).
It'd work really well for the new CRL underway with Army officers. Wear a helmet, have a riding crop, and an Ivory-handled side arm for the full Space Patton look.

CA glue I have a ton of for miniatures and model building (which reminds me, the new Star Wars wargame is out in March). I'll have to get some E6000. I've seen it mentioned often.

I didn't see him as an idiot at all. I saw him underappreciated but rather capable, and frustrated by being underappreciated. He clearly doesn't like Kylo Ren and feels himself superior (and in some ways, he's right), which just adds to his frustration.
I also don't really see him as despised by other officers, but maybe I'll need to rewatch it with that in mind.
