I have a question related to the grade of gabardine most people are using... I have been put in touch with a member of the local garison that can hand make my costume.
I have found a good looking place to get the gabardine. Would the following do for IGA?
weight: 240 gram per meter
color: pearl white (almost white)
100% schearingwool

Just send him a second message via the Contact US form... but maybe anybody here has some experience with larger sizes from IDboots. I myself wear a EU size 48 (which relates for my feet to a US size 13). But the meassurement chart on the main page states sizes 6-11US/ 39-45EU. Anybody know if they can provide larger then that? Otherwise its gonna be a bust for me to even start an ID...

I'll be starting my work on my epaulets, in the coming weeks, so when it's done, I'll post pictures, and explain how to make them. Hopefully, they'll be good enough.
Sounds cool! Please let me know how you fair really want to make some myself for my IGA costume

Fellow officers,
I have been scouring ebay/amazon for some suitable shoulder boards for my intended IGA costume. Having found nothing that would seem fitting to me I am now exploring the option to make them myself.
I never made these things and i'm not sure what/where to look for any materials. Any help with how to make them and maybe even where to get some decent materials would be greatly appreciated I'd like to figure out a way to keep it relatively cheap so I could produce then for others aswell...
Thanks in advance!

I currently only play SWTOR regularly, with the occasional BF2

even as a newbie here i can tell the belt is wrong... 2 (to me dark looking) snaps instead of the 1 required as per CRL: http://www.501st.com/mw501/images/1/1a/ID_belt.jpgalso the notch on the belt looks funny...
For the cap and the uniform you'd need somebody else from the forum look at that...

What ever you do, don't try the WD-40 suggestion as good as it is as far as getting things unstuck when they have rusted solid its only a way to get that stuff open... Im an officer on a 122m cargo vessel, when i need to break out the WD-40 i usually end up replacing what ever it is that was stuck... just because i know that i will have to redo it all next week...
Just my 2 cents
