This is my MazCave tunic. It is coming in around 1.8". Fortunately, I have a long turkey neck. Admittedly, it still feels like something I am wearing to improve my head and neck posture. Took me a bit to get used to a collar that is higher than my other tunics, but after a few hours of wearing it, the feeling wore off.
FYI- I am in love with the caf cup. Great for holding electrolyte water to stay hydrated.- Detaleader, Ketchup, TripleFett and 1 other

Thanks everyone for the insight. Regarding the color, I know Kalani and Josh both said the color is fine and shouldn't have a problem getting it approved, but that's the problem. The CRL does not say light grey color, it only says "white suiting material." My garrison is pretty strict and by the books when it comes to the CRL. Is there a possibility that the CRL will be updated to reflect these new light grey costumes seen in Andor? Or will there be a new CRL?
Thank you for the insight about the collars, I'm sure that can be fixed.
Thanks again!I was wondering the same. Are the Andor ISB tunics different enough from the others, (according to the CRL, they have appeared in Rogue One and comics), to justify a CRL for them? Or, will the updated wording spell out what's different in Andor from the other shows?

@buckrogersbarker You're exactly correct. Darts are intended to shape around body contours. Darts can also enhance garments by creating style lines for a a unique or distinct look. "2 to 3 inches" allows a great deal of adjustment for individual body shape. An inch can make a tremendous difference in tailoring.

Hello-
Adding in a new update for after elections.
Francesco, from MazCave, pointed out the dart on the attendant is not correct. The CRL should match the Dedra CRL. The dart seem should be 2-3 inches.
As per our conversation with @chicken45 (and his conversation with Katrina), the CRL could be reworded so the dart line ends where the code cylinder pockets begin. -
Congratulations @Bettina1138! You look amazing! You will surely inspire many prospective Meeros to come.

@AspiraThank you for doing this research! I'm excited about the prospect of having the belt hooks for keeping the belt perfectly in place.

Francesco is working with a couple of us to create Meero costumes. As per his email to me today, he doesn't see a difference between this tunic and the other ISB ones, which is a point someone made at the beginning of the thread. His proposals for the tunic are as follows:
About the rest of my reference- Higher Collar than usual
- Pocket higher than usual
- Pockets horizontally to the floor
- The center seam coming down from the neck is a bit longer than usual
- Pronounced “V” shape to front placard until belt line
- Reverse V after the belt line
- Tunic shorter than usual
-
Center seam on line belt
I re-read the thread and he seems to have captured everything, (except for the belt hooks, which I am hoping to still add in.) Am I missing anything?

Apologies for the duplicate post. Not sure what happened there.
What about specifying the length of the dart, more specifically the position of the bottom of the dart, in relation to the position of the code cylinder pockets? That would allow it to scale with tunic size.
I'm in favor of specifying the length of the dart. This is an issue Francesco (MazCave) and I were discussing today, (both the length of the dart and the length of the collar, specifically.) -
Are these the correct style belt hooks? (They would need to be painted black.)

OK, so I need to give Francesco feedback on his design so he can move forward.
If I give with version A, it is compliant with the current CRL with regards to stitching not being visible. I'm fine with this version, but for the sake of some screen-accuracy, I would love the chest pocket to remain.Version B takes out the chest pocket. While this detail also appears on the Andor coats, since the CRL has not been updated, it would currently be approvable.
While I understand getting the CRL updated takes time, I've included suggested wording to reflect the newer shows.

Thank you! That makes it much clearer with the difference in styling between the coats from the different shows. I appreciate the photo. Wishing you a speedy recovery from COVID.
I love the crocs. Peter Cushing would've worn them, if they'd been an option back then. I mean, just picture them on his feet... -
>>I just got my black R1 style trenchcoat from Maz.
I'd love to see a photo if you're willing to model that new coat? (Or, take a photo of it on the hangar?)
-
Thank you for your research! I've worked with Azman before and he's great. I'm having Francesco create the coat since he's already doing a bunch of other work for me and has my measurements. You've got a great handle on the differences between these coats. So, what do you recommend? My end goal is to have an awesome looking coat to wear with my non-saga officer. (But, if I can help get the CRL updated at the same time, that's a win-win.)

>>Instead of making a Kenobi coat (I don't recall seeing a lot of coats in this show), focus on a Gorn(and Col. Petigar) coat.
I love this idea.
>>It needs that seam, or stitch line that is about a foot from the bottom of the coat that goes around the coat.
This is the stitch line you mean, correct? I used my amazing artistic talent to draft in the seam line. Yes, yes, impressive, I know. -
What are the difference between the Kenobi coat and the Partigaz/Blevin coat? I'm sure there might be differences. I'm just not seeing them?
No, this is the only coat I have in progress. I'm fine with doing either a Kenobi or Andor version. I was just hoping to do the newer styling for my non-saga officer. (I did consider also doing a coat for my ISB officer/Dedra Meero in progress. But, I have so few occasions to wear a coat while trooping. My one coat will make rare enough appearances as it is.)- GeneralSneers and chicken45

Hi Sky,
I agree with you. I was thinking the idea would be to help people get within the right family of hue, (i.e. if we decide it is "white," then the right type of white, (not an ultra pure ("Tide Bright") white.) And, if we decide it is grey, then the right type of grey, (not a grey that could be mistaken for the dark grey Andor tunic.) This would be an additional resource for those creating the costume themselves. -

MazCaves is taking orders by private message. Obviously I wouldn’t want to move forward with him until there is a consensus on the color of the tunic fabric. That’s a thought one!
I currently have a Dedro Meero tunic in progress with Francesco. We discussed the color this week (since it's been a topic of discussion here.) He said he's searching on the light grey, but at the moment he's told everyone he will use cool white.
Cool white is actually a good description for the color. This term is normally used more in terms of describing LED colors or paint colors, but it is defined as a white that contains more "blue light," or a white that is "blue white."I have a suggestion, based upon something we were discussing in our garrison ISB Build group. We were also talking about colors there. One of our build group members, Jeremy, shared this image from when he was working on the Death Watch Live Action CRL. They used this chart to make sure everyone got the colors correct, even with Pantone to Hex conversions. Both Pantone and Hex values are offered for all of the colors to ensure all who were building kept the colors within the same family of hues. Creating a similar chart could be a valuable tool in ensuring the pieces of the Andor ISB Officer are within the correct family of hues.
Thoughts?

Since we're all stuck staring at fabric on screens, what about just using a hex code instead? Like so: Ghost white / #f8f8ff hex color (colorhexa.com)
I think that's a great suggestion!

So this thread is specific to Dedra's CRL. BUT if she and other ISB are Panetone 12-0404 TPX Light Gray, this is great!
Before we look forward, it's worth noting how many different shades of olive are out there.
Fifty Shades of Feldgrau(TM)
I'm sure we can figure this out.
Happy to help in the effort both for the Andor officers and any of the previous ones, (even the elusive feldgrau.) As with other costumes, the older costumes should rightfully be grandfathered in. These standards would be for new builds going forward and those costumers interested in achieving the highest levels of accuracy.

Yes, I've discovered keeping my shoulders thrown way back and my head high keeps the high collar from being bothersome. I've successfully stretched out the neck a bit using my mannequin and a bunch of stuffing around the neck. I added a little more "stuffing" each day to gently get the fabric to stretch. It's now much easier to close the neck clasps, the inside shoulder snap, and the teeny tiny snap at the base of the collar.
I love the caf cup! I use it daily now for water and coconut water. It goes everywhere with me. I haven't yet found a proper "automotive strip" to cover the logo. I used black electrical for the initial covering, and then cut aluminum foil to the same size as the automotive strip.
