http://www.clothearscostumes.com/ is well worth the money and the wait. I just received my ANH Staff Officer uniform, based on the original tunics which are slightly different than the Line Officer uniforms. It is incredibly well made, tailored to exacting detail.

It took nearly a year for me to get mine, and when it was all said and done, it was a little over $1000.00 USD. But if you want perfection, well, you can't beat it. I started with a Cosplaysky uniform and then upgraded to this after I was dissatisfied with some things. Although I know they've made notable changes to their uniforms since I ordered mine.

I actually ended up grabbing those. I'm going to see how they fit, but I noticed that they have the three lines of stitching on the top. Remembering that this was something optional for Officer gauntlets as it was depicted on screen, I ordered them. Then I took a closer look at the Cadet gloves and realized they don't have the lines. I'm not sure if this will be a huge issue or not.

If it is, I can just send them back and order the women's model of the same gloves. They have longer cuffs and no stitching on the back.

    *Edit*

The gloves were too big. Well. The men's small fit my hand quite well, but it was the tips of the fingers on the gloves which were too long, by nearly a quarter inch. So they were shipped back. Props to Amazon. I've never returned anything on Amazon, and maybe it's a Prime member thing, but I just printed a free label and off it went.

The female version of the gloves arrive on Monday. Hopefully they fit.

It's been a while! But I finally got the jacket back after commissioning it in October. Pants are still being worked on.

The rank bar was custom made to my approximations, based on screen captures. Tigg created it for me. You can do a search on the forums; Tigg is the person to go to for rank bars.

As far as my seamstress, well. I don't want to give any information out at this point. Keep in mind she has been "working" on this since October, and I have not heard word about it yet. Once it's finished and I can confirm it's satisfactory, I can ask her if she's willing to do another or not. I'm not even sure what the final cost will be.

No updates yet. I'm trying not to be an annoying customer (especially since I haven't given her any money yet, she said I can pay her once it's finished). However, by the end of the month, I might start asking questions since she has my officer uniform too.

As for this being approved, there are individuals such as myself that will certainly look the part when in costume. No one is going to know I'm 33 with the bucket on. I'm 5'6" and I weigh 100 pounds, so I will definitely look like a youth.

It's also already been passed up to the LMO by my GML for various questions concerning details on the costume, so if they had an issue with age for official 501st approval, I'm sure it would have been raised. It's sort of like jawas being approved for anyone of any height or weight. A 6'2" jawa isn't really accurate, but we allow it anyway!

I was just at a troop for a minor league game on Monday, and it was offered for us to call out some batters if we wanted to. I took up the offer and they asked how I should be introduced... I had to quickly think of something, so now I'm officially going to go by Lieutenant Trevin while in my Staff Officer uniform (I have the correct rank bar for this now).

It was fun to announce over the PA, "Greetings, citizens of the Empire!"

    Thanks! It fits great!

I just got my Staff Officer uniform back from my seamstress who will be making the uniform itself. That's the last bit... and of course the hardest. She did some great adjustments for me and I have some troops coming up that I'll be using my Staff Officer for.

Ultimately she will be using this as a basic template for the Cadet uniform since everything is measured out nicely. So once I'm done with some upcoming troops, it'll be going back to her and then the real magic can begin!

I prefer the Skydex style pads for helmets. That's what I use inside both my Tusken and Scout and they're great.

I will this evening. There are no magnets that I can tell. Just the velcro in three spots: center forehead, and each of the far edges of the face plate. There also is no suspension inside the dome, which disappointed me a bit since this was supposed to be a "completed" helmet, and for nearly $400, I would have expected a simple hard hat suspension system.

Most definitely green. Just can't see it in the photo. I got a down and dirty assembly tutorial via FB.... not a big deal... I'm just waiting to see what he posts. Nice sturdy connstruction. It's beefier than a TK helmet. Not exaclty sure what it's made of, but it's not ABS.

My kit came in a couple days a go. Fiernock should be putting out a tutorial on assembly soon. Here is how the kit comes. It's sanded and ready for paint out of the box:

So the lady's gloves came today! And they fit... like a glove. Some of the photos are a little blurry, low light with a phone camera and all.

This is the actual length of the glove. It flairs out a bit, and I think I might even try to wear these with my officer uniform.

Sadly, I'm not as threatening while wearing a sweater. My uniform is off having some tailoring done.

    Hello everyone!

I've been working on making an Imperial Cadet uniform, and have been posting updates over at my garrison. I believe it's official now, according to the LMO, that the Imperial Cadets from Star Wars Rebels are going to be part of the IOC detachment. There had been questions as to whether or not they'd be IOC or FISD.

I don't believe anyone is working on this uniform as of yet, but Fiernock Base Designs, one of the designers of a more accurate AT-DP helmet, has made an Imperial Cadet helmet. I'm one of the first on the list and will hopefully have the bucket soon.

My GML has approved a pair of Jackboots which I've obtained as being fitting for the build.

I've also got the metallic rank plaque seen on the left breast of the jacket:

I've been recommended to a local seamstress by a fellow member who is local to my area. I'm currently letting her do some alterations to my Staff Officer uniform, but I've shown her the Cadet images and she says she can put it together.

I've bounced around a number of different ideas for the fabric to use, and after talking with my GML, I think we've settled on using cotton twill for the pants and jacket.

    Thoughts and suggestions?
