I can't speak to the quality of their Officer gear, but in regards to WhimsyCosplay I'd err on side of caution and stay away.
Last year we had a potential recruit interested in joining up with a Bo Katan. She'd gone ahead and bought everything before touching base with us. Her soft goods were from Whimsy. The pics on their site looked pretty darn good,..but looked NOTHING like the flightsuit she actually received. None of the stitching detail was correct- most was missing! Leather strips were missing too, overall fit was poor.
And of course, me being the GML I ended up the bad guy having to tell her the hard truths....

ROTJ Scan crew here! Admittedly..its far from my most regularly worn cossie. I am the lone grey jumpsuit owner in the Garrison..and also, my black one is more slimming!
But interested in seeing where this idea goes.

Cool! Shame I'm only a Warrant Officer tho....I don't think a plain black shirt would be quite as cool!

Interesting. It's a strange choice of weapon for an officer to carry- they don't exactly like to get into the thick of the fight. Could be the case that Finn simply grabs one for a short action sequence during the film..

As far as I always thought..the flat pocket versions of the suits had regular collars..but the chevron pocket suits had the pointed collar(both the black and grey suits). Problem is..both versions appear throughout all the films..sometimes beside one another in the same scenes.

Definitely for carrying their smokes. You'll notice by the time the FO has risen to power, smoking has become a bit of a taboo..hence why those Officers don't wear boxes. They do however appear to be avid fans of Vaping!

Four of them...this guy has a serious habit!

Re: Han's salute. Luke used a similar motion earlier on at the Sarlaac as a signal to R2..and Sabine has been seen in a few PR shots for Rebels also using a similar action..so I can see an arguement being made for it to be the in universe equivilent of a salute.

But what about the guy in ANH who signals to Luke(as TK421). He gives what I would consider a 'salute'..though admittedly more as an acknowledgment than a proper salute.

Explain Rex then...he hardly qualifies as a "bad guy" under any criteria, yet is proudly counted as a 501st character.Regards to Tuskens..jawas..etc...they are accepted by both groups because they are basically neutral factions.
