They're using Philo's pictures on the Dosimeters, so if it's not Philo, I'm curious.

On a more positive note.....I finished the book on Friday. Hands down the best Star Wars book I have ever read.
Top 5 for me - I still hold Heir to the Empire as the best I've ever read, but that may be a bit of rose colored glasses in remembering how it felt to FINALLY get new Star Wars stories for the first time in like 10 years.
Very well written (duh, it's Tim), nice setup at the end, and it was nice to see the parallel of Thrawn and Price. -
I get that. I started out in Star Garrison, in Arkansas before they formed their own garrison. I meant, it is tough living in the shadow of Texas. It is called 'Star' garrison, that doesn't leave much in the name for other states. I personally believe the other garrisons should have been grouped from the start. I was happy to be in the garrison and I have several friends in Texas, but it was hard for the other states to feel included next to Texas just because of the size and amount of personnel in the state compared to others. Plus, I look terrible in a cowboy hat.
Lol, I get that. I grew up in Louisiana, and have had to remind people as the GMBO the last 8-10 months that Star was more than Texas, so wanting Texas-themed Garrison merch wasn't something I was ready to do, given the stories about Bast Alpha. Maybe in the future - I already have a line on Bast merch so I can rep my hometown

After Arkansas left, they took the stepbrother spot.
Hey now...
To be fair, if you go back in Star's history, Bast leaving was the trouble spot - major miscommunications between Bast Alpha squad and the CO's of Star. The stories I've been told aren't great - I'm glad in the years since things appear to have been talked though and smoothed over, and we're friends again. Diamond splitting off was much easier - OKG even more so, they just had to wait to recruit enough members it seems. -

Aww man, that sucks!! Yeah, my Garrison mate went on Thurs when they were still selling a max of 3 copies per person. So lucky he did. I later heard that they stopped sales on Thurs cause they were selling out too quickly. They reduced sales to only one per customer on Fri, and then stopped again. Sat was a lottery for the boots
No, they sold almost everything they had thursday morning before 11 am (when half the convention was still standing outside waiting to be let in), and had a "lottery" for the remaining ones on friday (20 books, lottery was over again before anyone who wasn't a VIP got in the door).
I have very ugly and harsh words for Del Ray's handling of the whole situation - had they said up front they only had 1k copies, I might have understood. The fact they didn't, complicated with ReedPop's atrocious management of letting people in - I hope between the too Del Ray has to learn some hard lessons, and ReedPop is never allowed anywhere NEAR another SWC again. -

So you've got all of your accessories and gear in the box. I'm assuming the uniform in a garment bag? What about the boots?
For Celebration I've got my TK and Krennic gear in the same rolling bin, bucket in a separate bag and uniform in garment bag. Probably the only time I'll be taking both of those to the same event!
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI have a boot bag that I can sling over my shoulder. Sadly (especially with my cape) there's not a great way to carry all of it in one spot.

Very impressive, not sure how I should carry mine
Really depends on things - do you run all those costumes at a con, or only a couple? I have 2, so keeping all my goods together makes sense. That said, when I replace my belt for Krennic or add more costumes, I may go to multiple cases much like the guys in hard armor with separate totes.
-
Definitely have room for more cylinders and rank bars as I add costumes.
-
Finally put together a case for all my extra stuffs. A friend gave me her old camera case - I'll probably replace the foam after a while, I got quick and inexpensive on the pick and pull foam, and while it works, moving it in and out shows why it was so inexpensive

Thats Legends in the new canon Tarkin Initiative is a secret organisation within advance weapons The patch Urso wears is the symbol of the Tarkin Initiative
I still feel like that leads to confusion - any time he was an imperial (or an "Imperial" as on Eadu) he was part of the Tarkin Initiative - so that could cover both costumes. In fact, I believe people have called the green dress uniform the same thing

Yeah it does if you see some of the close up picture of his. It is just that it is not as suff as the normal imperial officer coller.
Agreed, but we were saying 1.25" tall, and that is going to be way too short on anyone who's not tiny.
-
So, watching it again today, our measurements for the collar are too short. It literally covers all of Mads' neck.

OT commentary - The brushed may be slightly more screen accurate for several characters, but I feel like your proportions are off - the blue rin is too small for it. And I'd need to see a clip on it, because I feel like your clip section is too indented - the metal on the clips is very thin, and it's going to show very quickly how grooved you made it.

Any UK stores or sites for the boots? My searches on Amazon haven't been fruitful.

The colour for the top part is a very light green /gray colour
Where did you source the fabric? Can you figure out what color they called it, or better yet, the Pantone code for it?

And then make the basic green one a non-face character and the officer a face character.
That is going to be REALLY hard to do for one reason - we ONLY ever see Galen in it. EVER. No other Olive officer has straight pants in the movie. So full stop, *IF* it was my decision (it's not, but say it was), that is a Galen specific costume.
That said, Cari is right - let's focus on this one. And as he only wears it on Eadu, I stand by calling it the Eadu outfit - zero confusion there. No need to get cute with the titles - it's a CRL, not a story book. -

So would that make an Navy Trooper helmet an optional accessory for a staff officer rather than rank badges / code cylinders an optional accessory for INs?
'Zee plot thickens, no? -
I also renamed it as the Eadu Outfit - since we've had some confusion on which outfit is which. If someone has a better name, let's hear it.

My take on progress so far:
Of the two prototypes published in this thread ... cut and look are both good.
Fabric for the uniform should be twill.
Colors. Colors of the patch need (as said) to match the uniform. The colors of the uniform that Ruud has posted are exceptionally close to reference material. And I double checked this with others on the LMO team ... and one even did some woojoo with color pull sampling from the images posted.
Olive tones. Olive tones are good.
I might wish that Ruud's suit was slightly darker, to match the rain soaked dark appearance of Erso on Eadu. But that is not a stopper.
The collar should be super firm tightly closed, no gapping of any sort. Angelus, good job on that.
Both of you ... cheers! Loving the work so far.
Cool
@wolters - what is the color name for the top part of your tunic? If the LMOs say it's good, let's use that. I can edit the text for that.
All the rest I will update in the post. -

Watched Rogue One last night and, sadly, no view of the pants/boots. Would it be possible to make it an option for both the staff officer and dress navy trooper?
I think this is going to fall under Cari's purview of how much assumption do we make? One could easily assume it's the dress uniform with 2 added bits, but without a view of the whole uniform, it may just stay as the Dress uniform as it is, then at cons or unofficial events if you want to add those bits, it's up to your officers.
Shrug. -
Maybe change the L1 line as well:
From-
There are no stretch panels, buckles, snap tabs, or decoration.
To
- There are no stretch panels, snap tabs or decorations, and no buckles, EXCEPT for the optional adjustment strap matching screen used props
