Dimentex reacted to lantern2745 in Admiral Kassius Konstantine (Rebels) CRL WIP
Yup. For the time being I have level one as being a standard hat, standard disk. Level two standard hat with Rebels disk, and level three as the completely new Rebels style hat.
My thinking there is that level one is basically a standard olive line officer but with the face character requirements.
Level two is where we start adding in the Rebels style flourishes. Rank bar, code cylinder, and disk details. Center seam tunic and Rebel pant flares.
Level three then, is where we see the radically different hat. If it can be made.

Congrats to the last "kid" to leave the Star Garrison roost. Good luck, Oklahoma Garrison - Star will always have your back.
(We kinda need to, if you guys disappear Texas might slide into the ocean )

Dimentex got a reaction from trencher in Carrying Case for my stuff
Finally put together a case for all my extra stuffs. A friend gave me her old camera case - I'll probably replace the foam after a while, I got quick and inexpensive on the pick and pull foam, and while it works, moving it in and out shows why it was so inexpensive

Very good idea and soooo imperial :). The camera case seems to be very good to modify and... help to get the stuff outside of childs hands and wifes eyes :).

Really depends on things - do you run all those costumes at a con, or only a couple? I have 2, so keeping all my goods together makes sense. That said, when I replace my belt for Krennic or add more costumes, I may go to multiple cases much like the guys in hard armor with separate totes.

It's exactly like Krennic's. It covers most of the neck and probably doesn't have square corners meeting under the chin as it's clearly angled in. -

But this is not the Tarkin initiative.
The Tarkin initiative is peace through superior firepower. It is the use of the weapon not the construction.
I am all for Eadu or Eadu team leader

Yeah it does if you see some of the close up picture of his. It is just that it is not as suff as the normal imperial officer coller.

I think the patch sitting on top is better than the underneath one. -

I think v2 is a lot closer, but the rounded edges of v1 seem more accurate.

Dimentex reacted to Hawk in Imperial Officer ID Sewing Tutorial
The pattern is not in .pdf as I don't think it would print out well. I am thinking about going to Office Max and seeing how much copies would be. I am currently mad at this project; I don't like needing to start over. This tutorial is going to be deleted and started from scratch. I have a friend in my Garrison who wants a Krennic, and white is easier to see the stitching on. I am probably going to do that soon. Right now I am sewing a jumpsuit and taking pictures for a tutorial on that, but that is way more in-depth that this one. Long answer for a "No" it's not in .pdf. I posted the pictures on a 1" grid to try and make things easier.

Just because there isn't a supplier doesn't mean people can't make it themselves.

Dimentex reacted to Tonydragon in Rogue One Ranked Naval Officer
So would that make an Navy Trooper helmet an optional accessory for a staff officer rather than rank badges / code cylinders an optional accessory for INs?
-
Dimentex reacted to bjsavage7 in Rogue One Ranked Naval Officer
This makes the most sense to me. I don't see this character as an IN with rank ect, but a staff officer who happened to put on a helmet to aid him in those duties.

Dimentex reacted to Rhaethe in Proposing on Galen Erso (Project Lead Uniform)
My take on progress so far:
Of the two prototypes published in this thread ... cut and look are both good.
Fabric for the uniform should be twill.
Colors. Colors of the patch need (as said) to match the uniform. The colors of the uniform that Ruud has posted are exceptionally close to reference material. And I double checked this with others on the LMO team ... and one even did some woojoo with color pull sampling from the images posted.
Olive tones. Olive tones are good.
I might wish that Ruud's suit was slightly darker, to match the rain soaked dark appearance of Erso on Eadu. But that is not a stopper.
The collar should be super firm tightly closed, no gapping of any sort. Angelus, good job on that.
Both of you ... cheers! Loving the work so far.

I have not been able to screencap yet, but you can see the strap/buckles on the Officers on screen right at 51:40.

Nice job on the screen shots. That is definitely something to look into.
