Of course I'll watch it, but with zero anticipation.

I'm hoping Pre Vizsla will give us a Mando series.

I'm for it. Marvel-Disney has made very few missteps, even their 'bad' films are still enjoyable and rewatchable, and retain substance while reaching a broad audience. There's never really any significant "taking my toys and going home" responses to it. They need to take a long look at the MCU and apply what has worked so well to the Star Wars universe, and this could be a solid first step towards doing so.

That's awesome. I can't wait to see the story line he's going to write.

The Imperial Army Engineer (Black version of the IAT) is almost completed, some heavier armored versions are being looked at, and a Combat Medic is a possibility.

As Ron said, I have no idea why Spec Ops wanted this CRL as it's the exact opposite of Spec Ops troopers, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm hoping at some point we form an Imperial Army detachment, but that's further down the road. I really do appreciate Spec Ops taking us in though.

Yes, those are my patches sold through the Walt's Trooper Factory website and Facebook group. The design is by Juan Jose Matamoros bases on my CRL submissing pictures. 

CRL photos are being worked on, and we hope to have them added to the 501st Roster in a Month or so.

Thanks! We've been doing it for about a year for all sorts of stuff with Walt's Trooper Factory. Forecast calls for snow tomorrow. Hoping there will be some sunlight on Thursday to get this done.

I'm doing the photos tomorrow - weather permitting - and that should be it. I've finished off the details for the CRL about the specific parts. I even had my artist do some swag for the Imperial Army to drum up interest. You can find them here at the Walt's Trooper Factory website. Walt has been especially helpful with molding and sourcing the various parts.

There has been a wealth of references submitted here.  The LMO Team has went through every piece of it, including the things uploaded just yesterday.  I will emphasize that from our perspective that when we decided if any specific reference was useable or not, we did not do so with the mindset of attempting to prove the existence of the character in the Star Wars Universe.  It definitely exists.  Nor were we concerned over the references being EU or Legends sourced.  After all, we do have a Detachment that specializes in such.
 
The mindset we had when reviewing the material was trying to establish a common, replicatable, and uniform costume.  With that in mind, a good 80% of the material cannot be used for our (Legion's) purposes.  However, of the remaining 20% of material (which is still a good bit, mind you), the references are clear, show uniformity, show full length back/side/front, show detail.
 
Yes, we will make a CRL of the character: Imperial Army Trooper.  
 
However.  It will not be exactly what the first pass was in recreating it.  The LMO Team, thus far, has determined that a good baseline of what the character uses as a consistency base is the harness, suit, belt, helmet.  Other items may be added as optional accessories, but we will get to that when we get to it
 
We are placing this in No Detachment Affiliation for the time being, and the LMO Team will work with Tarrif (and others, if any are) directly on the production of the costume, first,  to match the acceptable references, and then secondly, create the CRL based on that.

I'm at the point where I have hundreds of images of Imperial Army Troopers or relevant information, so instead of posting them all here and in the 501st official forums, I've uploaded them to an Imgur album with notations and sources under each new one as they are uploaded. I just got about 40 new comics delivered to my house, and uploaded a few dozen new images of Imperial Army Troopers in action. 
 
 
 

Right now there's a small team working with one of the 501st LMOs on the CRLs. We're focusing on the basic Army Trooper and Army Engineer (Sapper) as seen in the Dark Horse comics that came out in the mid 2000s. If all goes well there will be additional costumes in the future.

Went to a troop on Friday for Micheal Giacchino's 50th birthday a great night where I and my fellow Troopers got to hang with Gareth Edwards for a bit, we talked to him regards Rogue one, Adam Savage presented the show and at one point wore an Anovos Krennic.

I agree, let's not open a can of worms arguing over what goes where, I'm just hoping that a CRL is established. The "Big Bugs" can figure the rest out.

The LMOs can figure out where this costume belongs, I'd be happy with an official CRL no matter where they decide to put it.

I've got several of his holsters.  Great stuff, though I don't believe the Merr-Sonn holster should have that little cutout by the "scope" part.  If you use heavy blasters like I do, get the heavier weight material Darman offers.
