We're trying as close as possible to replicate the illustrations that have been found in the West End games as well as descriptions found in other sources. LCE would be great if there's documentation out there to support it. The black ALICE belt I was talking about in a previous post probably won't make the cut, although it might work for a 181st belt.

Sweet! I think you just about nailed it, Ben. I'm planning on getting a black military type ALICE belt and putting an Imperial buckle on it. Is that an old M-14 canvas magazine pouch you are using?

I have Wampa Wear flight suits and I'm very happy with them. No alterations needed.

My hat is a little on the large size. I tried the next size down only to find it was to small. You know, the goldilocks issue. 
 
what is the best way to size down one of the hats?

I went to the local theatres and, without even planning it, joined a cadre of other Star Wars cosplayers in taking pictures. I was wearing my unfinished Staff Officer uniform, and stood alongside a couple TKs and Jedis and the like.. Unfortunately didn't get a picture of my own, but will post it as soon as I inevitably find myself tagged on Facebook!
 
Here's my official, no-spoilers review of the movie:
 
It's good You should see it.  
I'm mostly excited by the variety of new CRLs the 501st will see from this movie: Death Troopers, Shore Troopers, Imperial Ground Crew, Imperial Armored Crew, Imperial Officer coats, Director Krennic, and a few others.

We are a pretty tight knit group here in Georgia. Lots of crossover between the groups. So many people have kits in two or all three clubs and swap out wearing different kits depending on their mood. Everything always seems to focus on the 501st, but we always have RL and MM on hand at each troop. 

Someone needs to feed Scott more pizza. Poor kid is skin and bones

Today I was able to make it to my first troop since becoming 501st official with my Staff Officer Uniform. The parade is televised by WSB Channel 2 here in Atlanta. My wife watched the parade from home and snagged a pic of me on TV. (A little blurry) I'd say it was a good first troop!  

I plan on watching A New Hope a day or so before.

As an Officer you can yell at people , it's super effective when you need to clear a path for your half blind Stormtrooper soldiers , or when you need to keep a specific location clear , say ... Around some props at Celebrations because people can't read " Don't touch " signs

Awesome.  If this guy is the Director of ISB hopefully this movie will give us ISB guys some long-overdue recognition instead of constantly being mistaken for grand admirals or Death Star Wait Staff (don't forget to tip your busboys).
