RynoHawk got a reaction from Avatar190 in When will Wampa wear restock? (October 2016)
I have worn my Wampa Wear flight suit to many events outside in the South throughout the Summer, including circumnavigating a minor league ballpark (with a gunner helmet and bib on to boot) with the requisite stops for pictures, etc. Hot is hot whether you wear one makers flightsuit or the others. Drink plenty of fluids prior to trooping. I don't know about CS ones, but WW suits have a convenient "I gotta go" zipper.

Nice! I've been wanting to get a white minivan and similarly pimp it out!

    Hi Seth!

Not from Melbourne (or Australia for that matter), but you can try to hit them up (if they don't answer here) on the Terror Australias Garrison website; http://501tag.com/. You may have to register before you can post, but go ahead and do so. Most Garrison websites have a welcome forum for potential recruits to introduce themselves and ask questions. You might even be able to meet up with them at a troop and see their costumes up close!

In the meantime, people here can help you with any questions as well, especially involving Imperial Officer costumes.

Good catch, and good that they sold at lower price. The large MR should probably fit you. I typically would wear a 7 1/2" or XL hat and the large fits me with room to spare as well, especially after a haircut where I normally shear my head. When my hair is grown out a bit it fits more snug but not tight.

Maybe what we need is a new detachment of Imperial Enlisted Corps.
Bridge Crew, Scanning Crew, Maintenance Crew, Ground Crew, Navy Troopers, etc.

It's nice to have a helmet on. It's also nice to take off the helmet and throw on a cap when it get's too stuffy or I step on too many kids.

^^^This. Good advice for most adhesives used in costume building, but E6000 really reeks.

The added red text is my base price best rough guestimate. Keep in mind that if you start with say, a Bridge Crew, then you have most of the base for a Navy Trooper and just need the helmet and a commpad if you didn't already order one so it wouldn't be as expensive to build for that costume than if you started from scratch.

The variance in price is dependant on optionals you may get, the vendor you use, the quality of the costume, boots, etc. and don't really take into account anything that you can perhaps source and make yourself.

EDIT: Also just another heads up, the gray and black flightsuits are compatible with other costume builds (black- Bridge Crew, TIE Pilot, TIE Reserve, Imperial Gunner, Navy Trooper; Gray- Scan Crew, AT-ST driver, AT-AT driver). The blue one for the mechanical crew is not compatible with any other costume (at the moment), so that's another thought to ponder for the budget conscious costumer who wants the most bang for the buck.

It would make sense. I imagine they would do prisoner transfers and such and would want to restrain the prisoner. (Wookies may require Stormtroopers )

    Here are pics of my bin (pardon my messy floor );

Has a pull out handle and wheels on the other end for pulling.

    Inside.

On the left, my boots are packed upright and my hat is on top. On the right is the bag that contains my gunner helmet (laying on its side). Side pouches in the bag hold gloves, compad, and a stick of deodorant. Underneath the bag is the gunner bib and belt. Underneath those is the flight suit, folded neatly in a flat square. Soon to join them is a Hyperfirm E-11. Not sure how feasible this is for an officer uniform as it might be more prone to wrinkling. I like that I can keep everything handy in one permanent place. I think it'll also make it easier to swap out my IG gear for IC.

    I need more stickers

It's also strong enough for me to sit on, although I would use a chair if available. I checked these online and saw them (same brand, Sterilite) going for $40+, so I can't believe I found one for $20! If it falls apart in a year, I won't feel so sad.

Like I said, only thing I would worry about is the uniform getting wrinkled or creased, depending on the material used to make it. Although, I've seen pics of Cosplay Sky uniforms come halfway around the world all bundled up in a package and look pretty passable out of the box. Worst case, you can maybe attach the garmet bag (or a light one suiter) to the top of your bin so that it lays flat along the top as you tote it. Boots, hat, belt, etc. should probably fit in the bin with some "Tetris".

So I'm just curious what everyone carries their costume in when they go to/from a troop.

My first few troops I just used a large rolling suitcase which fit my boots, flight suit, and all other accessories. Today I was at Target and found a 45 gallon wheeled tote bin for $20 bucks so I picked that up. Especially handy now that I have the gunner costume as well. I can fit all of my costume stuff (and the helmet, which is kept in a separate bag in the bin) in one place and its easy to swap out costumes when I want to. Also keeps everything together in my closet, as sometimes I needed to use the suitcase for...luggage.

Also, I now have a great place to put Legion/Garrison/Detachment/Star Wars stickers and decals.

Good luck with that, but I think it looks fine the way it is. If nothing else, maybe test a swath of fabric from the extra you ordered before committing the whole costume to your experiment.

You can never have too many hats.

I would go with the Launch Bay if you find one that fits better. You can use the MuR as a backup, as a "handler hat", or you can maybe resell. I don't think the washing/drying would help much.

The "451" version is a screen accurate ANH black uniform officer. In ROTJ, the black uniform had the same cut as the olive green, but they did not wear rank insignia. The standard officer cut is approvable for all versions though, however the 451 is most accurate for ANH black uniform.
