I've been lingering over the checkout button since last night. I'm seriously considering coinciding a day trip on Saturday for Celebration alongside my girlfriend's and my annual WDW trip.......Hopefully my bank account isn't reading this.

Just wanted to throw this in here...
I purchased one of the LaunchBay hats and it passed inspection just fine... So if any of you were questioning whether or not to pick one up, I'd say go for it if you have the opportunity. Can't beat it for $25!

So after ordering the flightsuit 4 days ago, it looks like it's scheduled to be delivered either today or tomorrow. Quick turn-around! Very nice! Once I have that and my boots arrive I'll finally be able to submit some photos for critiquing! Huzzah!

Was planning on picking up a grey flightsuit from them, but their sizing chart is throwing me for a loop. I'm PRETTY sure I fit right smack in the middle of the Large size, but have heard that one should order one size larger. What have you all done when ordering from WW?

Spotted a pair of imperial restraints on Amazon and it got me wondering if Navy Troopers carry cuffs? I would think they do, but wanted to ask.

Just picked one of the caps up earlier this week and love it. Not creased, snug fit and looks great straight off the rack! Wore it the entire plane ride home and for $25, you can't beat it.

Bought a Replicas cap a few weeks ago. Its a large and its honestly just a smidge too big for my skull. Is it possible to throw it in the wash or dryer and maybe shrink it a bit?
If not, I'm down in Disney World right now and was playing with the idea of picking up one of those accepted Anovos caps from the Star Wars Launch Bay...

Would have to give a quick look at the CRL's to make sure but from the top of my head the only ones that come to mind for which you could re-use the cap and belt are scanning crew and staff officer. Gauntlets may be optional on the canning crew.
Have you already sourced the boots?
Scanning Crew was actually one of the first to come to mind. I also have not sourced boots yet, only because I've really been trying to track down the best prices. SovietBoots of course is always an option, as well as eBay.

Just placed my order for a Navy Trooper helmet and flightsuit last night with MonCal. My question for you folks is.....now what? What else can I be working on until my order arrives ~16 weeks from now? Any other costumes I could start that I can include my black officers cap, belt and gauntlets with (dumb question, i know).

Those are great looking boots. I'm in the market for boots, myself and considering these are legitimately German and not cold-war Russian surplus makes them that much cooler.

This is actually one of the first things I thought about when I started to really look into an Imperial impression. I used to be a part of a couple American Civil War reenacting units and facial hair was never really an issue of course but that's completely different. That's another reason I moved away from looking into a WW2 German heer impression awhile ago since I would have to basically just shave everything off. :/

I appreciate the response Ryno. I also managed to locate a Museum Replicas black bridge crew cap on Amazon so I'm considering snagging that right now. From what I've gathered from this forum it seems that MR soft goods are typically a good find?
EDIT: Also anyone heard of 'Mycos' before? Stumbled on this.

For those of you here that utilize a flight suit, what size do you use? I'm 6'3/~180lbs. I only ask because Wampa Wear's sizing chart is throwing me for a loop for whatever reason...

Personally I would wait but it is up to you in the end. If you'd like I could post pics of my two suits side by side for comparison. My FAC's suit unfortunately haven't sold yet so I still have it.
I will definitely wait, as it's not a terribly long ways away and this means I can start gathering other pieces to get this kit (as well as the TIE reserve together) and keep the ball rolling.
Speaking of which, I will be down in Disney World in 17 days. Their Star Wars bay area is open and have seen that they have officers caps. I was considering picking one up while I was down there. Would that be a wise decision on my part or should I look for another supplier.

Cosplaysky is an option as well as MonCal (Far Away Creations). If memory serves Cosplaysky is slightly cheaper, but only marginally.
You may also want to consider getting a regular officer hat so that you can troop in costume while waiting on your MC helmet.
Indeed, this is another reason I decided to go the flight suit route, as it would open up doors later on for other impressions (TIE pilot..)

Just jumped into the whole kit-building thing with pressure from a local 501st snowtrooper buddy. I whipped an ANH Tusken mask together last year in response to an online posting but ended up getting drained mentally over the project and never got the entire Tusken kit sorted and put together. I never had any real motivation (or funds) at that time to push myself to get a 501st-worthy kit together. However, one year later, a friend (the snowtrooper) insisted I try out an Imperial Navy Trooper uniform as I had shown interest in that specific kit. So now I turn to all of you for help as I begin my journey down this fairly addicting path.
I've already sent an email to MonCal regarding the proper headwear and while waiting I figured I'd start hunting around for the right black flight suits. I saw many folks posting on here about Wampa Wear, however they do not have any Larges posted on their site. So now I'm wondering where to turn to next. CosplaySky? Advice is more than welcome and encouraged.

So I ended up breaking down and getting the new DLC. First, I absolutely LOVE the new customization options. Being able to run around Tattooine in Bespin or even Navy Trooper gear is amazing and have been waiting for this since the game was released. Also Bossk totally rules really happy he's been included. However, I gotta be honest here......the new DLC as a whole is terrible. The new game mode, for me, just isn't worth it. I was never a fan of Fighter Squadron so being stuck in Fighter Squadron mode pretty much every five minutes is not appealing at all. HOWEVER, the level of detail INSIDE the Death Star is just fantastic. I wish I could just stay in blast mode so I could run around the Death Star for the entire match. All in all, the best part for me now is the customization. Can't wait to unlock that sweet sweet Navy Trooper and Officer gear. Oh if any of you wanna play sometime, add me on Xbox @ MyBuddyBossk
