  1. My wife and I run a droid while in our Staff Officer uniforms.  The droid came first for me, then the costume.  Thematically, a tech of some sort would make more sense.  (Maybe I'll add that one day!)  Then again, some of the fun from running a droid comes from NOT being noticed as the controller - letting the droid become another character vs a moving prop.  In that sense, sometimes it helps that my uniform is not what you'd first think to be hanging with R2.

Seeking input from your local Garrison is always a good idea.  And I imagine it depends on what kind of troop/event (LFL, etc).

On a side note, if you do decide to go down the droid path, there is a vibrant Droid Builder community in GA and FL.

    Good luck!

  2. I don't think they expected a lot of firefights on the bridge of Star Destroyers. ;)

If you are already getting the gloves and compad, then you can wear and carry one as a Reserve Pilot. If you want to represent the IOC and make it official, just remove the blaster and holster.

One of the best things about the black jump suit is its versatility in costumes. You can represent three different detachments in a matter of minutes. ;)

Wait, 3 detachments?  IOC, JR, and which other?
