  2. After months of aquiring different parts and pieces, I finally finished my costume builds for the 501st Legion.    My GML approved three of five (need to address small issue with Navy Trooper helmet) and even though we are waiting for my Legion TKID, I was allowed to go to my first event in costume.    I have been to other events, but as a Spotter/Handler/Photographer (that mantle has been passed to my girlfriend).   The event was to raise awareness for the Foster Children program in Several counties in NJ.   I wore my Imperial Warrant Officer,  which went over well.

  3. Wear thick larger socks over pant legs.   Since the boot goes over the pant leg, this will keep the legs inside, neat, and cushion your ankles.   I suggest wool socks that are a few sizes large than what you wear.    If the foot section will not allow for the space, you can cut that area off and just use the top of the sock.    Just remember to tuck it inside the boot.

  4. I have been talking with Walter from Walt's Trooper Factory about making the Moff shoulder piece and gauntlets for my girlfriend. If interest is high enough, Walt may make this an available item. I know there are others here looking to do Moff Nyna Calixte, also the shoulder piece is used by other Moffs in the Moff Council. Anyone interested can contact Walter on Facebook at WTF:Walt's Trooper Factory.

  5. So, my boots came in. I was able to get my right boot on, but am having no luck with my left (my feet are identical, I think it's just me going at the wrong angle). My foot falls all the way but can't get my heel in. We're talking just barely off. Are there are recommendations as far as a lubricant that can be used, or anyone to push a heel back a cm or less? Thanks. Here's the boot on my right foot while wearing shorts.

I have Similar problem with my Knobelbekers, powder (Gold Bond's Footpowder) will help and protect your feet from blisters. Not to mention it is good for your feet.

  6. So I've got my boots, rank tile, and belt ordered now! Code cylinders might be placed tonight, too. Just trying to budget and not spend it all between checks. It's hard to stop the excitement though.

I know the feeling. I began working on joining the 501st around the same time. Going with Imperial Navy Trooper, Bridge Crew, Tie Reservist, Gunner, and Tie pilot. Same basic uniforms with slight variations and helmets.

I have a Tigg-wolf belt and is great, as is Philoprops (6187) Dosimeters and Belt boxes. I am still waiting on hat from Pilotbay (being made) and I need to modify jumpsuit.

Good Luck with your journey and don't STOP at one costume.

  7. Awesome thread. I was thinking of getting one of those Disney blasters myself. I like the stun/kill colors. Now the only question is will the Doopy Do kits fit on these new blasters.

Unfortunately they do not. The doopy doo kit was created for the Hasbro blaster. I have both and tired but the kit doesn't fit. I plan on modifying the Hasbro blaster and installing the Disney blaster electronics.

  8. I have to make some modifications to the jumpsuit still. Need to add pockets, and waiting on vinyl cogs. Originally I had planned to use one jumpsuit for all outfits, but the Imperial Navy Commando requires no pockets... so I order a pain Rekap black jumpsuit. The WW jumpsuit well be used for anything requiring pockets and the RK jumpsuit will be used for costumes that no pockets see seem.

  9. Just received my jumpsuit from Wampa Wear and the large for my 6'tall 240lb body fit perfect. First piece for Imperial Bridge crewmember down. Just need lid, belt, boots, gloves (which I may have that works, got to check with my local GRL), boots, comm pad. Can bridge crew members carry blasters, and which kind?
