I would prefer to keep the science officer CRL the way it is. It would be great if we could create a mess dress CRL for the black version and another one for the olive colored version but I will take any version we can get approved by the LMOs.

Get it approved by the LMOs is the hardest part, as I have found out in the last months. At least according to what I have been told regarding my CRL proposals.

  2. I just saw the movie a second time and I spotted a black Officer with straight pants, 6 blue tiles, two Code cylinders and Chelsea Boots.

At the Party were also Officers with normal olivegreen jodhpurs and riding Boots. But also with straight legs and Chelsea Boots. So a lot of variants and I'm looking forward to the screencaps, they will definitely help us a lot on this matter.

  3. If we get the two Mess Dress CRLs (which I am not sure about) we should definitely keep the Science Officer CRL, as it is specially mentioned in the VD, as Patricia already said. And there are some differences to the Mess Dress uniforms, so it deserves to be a seperate CRL.

I'm going to watch SOLO again today with my Mum and I will keep my eyes focused on this scene.

Having a look through YouTube, I managed to find a pretty close to whole scene where Qi'ra and Han meet at the party for the first time. Clip below:

I've also grabbed some screenshots outlining the officers walking around. In some cases, Ive brightened the pictures to try and see more details clearly.

These pics show the black uniformed officer on the left and an olive-green uniformed officer on the right. They both clearly have straight pants and Chelsea boots on. Although I can't be 100% sure right now, I think the black uniformed officer is wearing 2 code cylinders, one on each side, and a rank bar with 6 blue tiles.

    Also, no hats.

    That's right. No hats.

Although this is speculation, to me, because this is at a "party" and they aren't wearing hats, this seems informal to me. Having read through this thread, I am starting to think that these uniforms are casual or off-duty uniform, something like a casual dress uniform. No idea what a better sounding name would be at the moment

I'm almost 100% sure that I have seen the black Officer with 6 blue tiles and 2 Code cylinders, one on every side.

And I think it's a matter of manners to take off the hat inside a building and especially on a party.

I don't know the Rebels or much more apart from the films. Can I ask w uniform the Special agents and Captain are seen with? I take it the Grand Amiral is with the olive uniform!

    Sorry for hijacking this thread!

I thought grand morffs were grey and olive green. And grand admirals had white uniforms with gold things on the shoulders. I could be wrong but it think I'm in the right path

The Special Agent rank is worn by Agent Kallus who has a dark grey uniform, which you can see in the CRL:

Grand Admirals always wear a white uniform, nothing else, and Grand Moffs an olive-green uniform. First the people thought the uniforms were grey, but this was only because of bad lightening, they've always been made of an olive-green fabric.

  6. The basic storyline was not new or innovativ, Coaxium is obiously the new Unobtainium, but considering all the horrible things we've heard before the movie started (differences between Disney and the directors, change of directors, reshootings, etc...) it turned out quite good and I was positively surprised. I really liked the beginning at Corellia and seeing all the Star Destroyers in the making. I also had no problem with Alden Ehrenreich, because I simply did not think about the fact that he does not at all look like a young Harrison Ford. And I think that SOLO definitely has the best battlefield scenes from all Star Wars movies, showing the trenches, soldiers being dirty, it reminded of some WWI battle.

To me SOLO comes close to R1 and is definitely better than Ep. VIII.

I hope that we can finish this CRL soon.

Maybe we should wait to confirm the existence of Staff officers with straight pants in Solo. Or just update the CRL with what we know now, and update it again in a few months.

I think we can add the staff officer with straight pants and Chelsea boots as soon as enough people have confirmed seeing them in Solo I will be watching the movie again tonight. I will try to look for that uniform.

If we can make this update, and I'm not so sure about it, we do it all in once. So there is no hurry, we can easily wait until we have visual reference for the straight pants and so on.

  8. SOLO just had its premiere and as there are no Staff Officers seen very close on screen there is no necessity to add anything SOLO-special to this CRL draft. If anyone spotted something different please let us know in this thread.

Edit: thanks to the VD we now have the visual proof that Krennic style riding Boots with the strap were used.

That's why I would like to give this CRL proposal another try.

I hope we can finally make this a new CRL and bring more order and accuracy to our uniform standards.

    Have a nice day!

My apologies for a bit of thread necromancy, but I was wondering if I could ask some of you to eyeball this for me. Does my RK-3 look too big? The barrel measures eleven inches. It's tough to get solid sense of scale from Rebels and Battlefront.41285852685_cbc1d944f6_o.jpg

Without being an expert, I think it looks great! And that's a very nice uniform too :duim:
