That's why I suggested this.

@SNK: The CRL Team is reviewing this proposal again. There's a good chance many of the proposals can be implemented, but we will confirm later.
Meanwhile, because Legion databases are still locked, post-election, and the new LMO teams can't even START working on the backlog until March 1 when the transition switch is flipped, it is likely to be at LEAST March 10 before anything can actually start moving on this, even if everyone here was in complete agreement. The Detachment staff does not currently have the power to make ANY changes, nor can the Legion staff review any of our proposals until they're back up and running. So please be patient while the Legion-level people get their bearings.
Once the wheels are moving again, things can start happening.
Thanks for the update.

I have to ask. Are the IOC also going away from plexiglass ranks to pushbutton only?

I had an older lady ask who I represent while at a community parade in my GA, then proceeded to to a Nazi salute. Do not trust sweet old ladies apparently.

I'm not sure what suggestions are going through, but I would like to add my two credits to this sabaac table.
First: I would agree with the idea to change the name to officer and have the level 2/3 requirements for specific characters (the LT). This is after all very much how most CRLs are for this detachment with the exception of specific named face characters (Tarkin, Veers, etc).
Second: I would open up the rank bar requirements for L1 only to include the ranks provided to us for R1 as well (single rank bars only). We thankfully know that they carried those ranks over. This also keeps the crl in the same style as the original line officer.
Now, I believe that a Bekket in disguise would be the underworld detachment complete with blaster holes, but I would think that the non blaster pocketed armour would count as evidence to at least add the rank bar to the general list.
Either way, looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Please tell me this will happen 2020.

its made its way into the recent Role Playing game publications where 75% of the Star Wars lore comes from when not taken from the movies. It is part of the broader Star Wars universe.
double rank bars are more like fleet officers not sector officers. That is why double rank bars and single rank bars coincided with each other in Rogue One and Rebels.
As we have debated and agreed on multiple times.
On a different note, how cool does the red and blue bars look on a black uniform.

That's the final one I referenced. Aka thoughtful leader.

I'd do a salute, makes it a true officer
Imperial officers don't salute, in the modern way. More like a German Aristocrat, clicking heels together standing straight aka Veers in Empire.
I would go point, or depending on rank, quarter turn arms crossed, or one hand resting on your chin (aka Thrawn/Krennic/Tarkin)

Someone thought my GA was from Red Dwarf recently.

However we have cap captain in season 3(?) On geonosis. 3 red 3 blue double bars on a black uniform.

Brim Titus is an admiral, but not with a double row rank bar. I believe it is 4 Amber 2 red for him.

Yes. They are evil. But that allows for several great stories.
Those whom willing commit these acts and their justifications for them.
Those whom generally believe they are doing good and slowly become more evil. How they deal with it.
Those whom believe they are doing good and question the injustices done and what happens.

From the book lost stars they mention a beard represent that stops facial hair growing. Naturally, higher ranks would be allowed to use at their discretion.

Uniform, and I treat it as such. My mando is referred to as armour as well.

Junior officers wear green (navy) or Black (security). Ensign rank for navy is no rank bar (source Thrawn comics Ensign Eli Vanto)
Unless you want cadets. They have a white and grey jacket and grey pants.

I had a thought in the shower (where all the best thoughts happen): what about "Early Empire" "Late Empire" and "First Order"?
We know that R1 and Solo have been using ANH styles (for the most part), so that could be Early Empire (along with the brief shot from Episode III). Then ESB and ROTJ for Late?
The problem is that the imperial officers carry over. It's still a line officers, just different ranks. That's why I suggested doing it by era/military. Honestly, just thinking about it, the republic era could actually be rebel legion. As they are the good guys.

You'll have a very hard time trying to reclaim Veers and AT-AT Commanders without a fight from the ACD Staff. That decision is up to the Legion LMOs.
I'm willing to do the work for that. Multiple times if I have to.

Speaking of the shirt. Perhaps it should be added to all officer uniforms as we have confirmation that all officers were given one for the film. Just an idea.

So, if I message the detachment staff and said that a few of us propose a new layout and cleanup of the crls with the three listed methods, people would be OK with that?
If so. Then step 2 would be a list of crls to be cleaned up (big list).
If you want one revamped can you just add if it is wording, split, update. If one is being worked on ie navy/fleet trooper, then perhaps a link as well.
