Aftermath is a struggle. but Life Debt is pretty good. It helps that we now know these characters and their motivations from Aftermath.

TBH, it hasn't been a part of the costume that I've spent a lot of time looking at. There is a rather in depth discussion on it going on in the Thrawn threads ATM, I think. Maybe for now we just say "Rebels-style code cylinder with silver clip"?That is what we have I believe. The code cylinder looks almost like a pen clip, and is one solid piece (easy to model and print really.)

The collar insignia I feel (and I am pushing this on the Rebels Grand Admiral) is they are either flat (ironed on) or physical things (in which case they are bevelled like the Thrawn book cover art)

I love Catalyst. Second favourite book I have read so far (Lost Stars Come on). Reading Tarkin next.
Aftermath I did not enjoy much. Life debt is much better.

Do you have a photo? When I look at the screen grab, their uniforms look green to me.
I'm just going off the image there and what I saw on film. Everything there looks black to me, and if I remember correctly, they had Black hats on as well.

From what I can see, there are two items:
1. Black rain coat in the same pattern (or highly similar) as Krennic wore, by the line (olive) officers in the rain scene.
2. Olive officer's trench coat on Jeddha that Wombat posted.
Those would be canon options, however nothing says you can't replicate a WWII pattern for conventions, etc. that are non-canon.
Unless I'm totally blind, that is.
Staff (Black) in Rain scene. Not Line.

Guess I didn't look close enough. I thought they showed Line officers in rain coats too.
Line officers and Staff officers are in Trench coats on Jedha and The trading station. Staff officers also have rain coats like Krennic's on Eadu.
So were you talking about the capes or the trench coats?

I would add for the epaulets. I would have gone with sintra myself (expanded pvc foamcore). Cut, heat, paint, done. Many mandos (myself included) have used that for their armour.
Paint that gold, maybe a clear coat to add metalic sheen, done.
So yes. I agree, metal requirements I think can go.

Those are the gun's bullet. Which is two at the side. And inside have three bullet in each case. Ben did talk about it and show it on the Star wars youtube thing.I think he meant the other side, there looks like a slight hook on the otherside.

Do we have to be an Official member to do this?

He has a point. It is not obvious on screen and not a big part of his character unlike, say Thrawn, where it is clearly a different colour.

Hey, could you pm me the pic of thrawn and the blaster, and the side on of the blaster. As large as possible.

I would say keep the waist seam. Due to it being hidden by a belt it won't matter, and I believe it helps with the overall fit.

Officers do salute. Reading Aftermath Life Debt, it is mentioned there.

I cannot guarantee anything. Just hoping I can have a shot at modelling.

So we give the options of:
Colour - Grey (Level 1) or Silver (Level 2)
Type - Embroidered (Level 1) / Heat Printed (Level 1) / Metal Pinned (Level 2)
I would say. Either Embroidered/Heat printed or Metal pinned insignia
If pinned insignia is used is used it must be silver in colour and have a beveled look to it.

Contact lenses are optional. They must be. Not everyone can wear contacts, and while you should if you can the 501st does not discriminate and even legends thrawn has it as optional.
Also, add the seek professional help with contacts.

The uniform changes between Rebels and Rogue One. Hence the removal of the secondary insignia on the collars and hats.
-
Going back to the gloves. It is not that other officers wear gloves. It is that Thrawn does not. Now if he wears gloves later then the crl can be amended, but until such time as we see A Grand Admiral wearing gloves in canon then this should not be an option.
As for the back seam. Again, replicating what you see, no seam on Thrawn, no seam should be the basic. Yes it makes it harder to do, yes the public won't care.
Finally the silver collar pieces. Silver, not grey. They look like they are a form of rank and on the book cover they are raised (perhaps pinned on pieces)

I disagree on the gloves. We have yet to see him wear gloves so it should not be an option.

Keep the gabardine weave (for now) as I do believe the texturing is supposed to make it look like gabardine.
I am fine with removing the exact boots.
