As someone who'd never touched a sewing machine before, then tackling a Hux with four princess seams... yeah they suck but if you know what you're doing you can figure them out? Plus practice and mockups and stuff to make sure they'll fit together and sit right and stuff. They're not so hard as to validate removal based on their perceived difficulty imo. Just gotta keep at it until you get it. :)

Except that the argument is not about difficulty but accuracy. Accuracy of Rebels uniforms in the lack of princess seams, and someone else saying that that was more difficult.

I don't like the term I don't wish to be referred to by it, thats my choice, if the world looks at me and others that Way then they need to be educated.

Cosplay literally costume play. Basically what we do, dress up in costumes and act out our characters.

And why would you as a non cosplayer not want to use this?

Its funny you should say that. When I started making my GA, I had zero talent for making things too :P

But making your own epaulets are super easy. Unfortunately I didnt make a tutorial on how to do it, although I have been kicking around the idea that I might. However, literally what I did was get my hands on some scrap plastic and cut out two rectangles (the dimensions will depend on your body, but mine were 6 inches by 3 inches). I then bought some gold-colored cotton fabric and gold tassels (you want 3" tassels) from a local fabric store. I then wrapped the gold fabric around the plastic, gluing (with hot glue) the fabric onto the plastic underneath. Then, on three sides, I glued two rows of tassels onto the epaulet, one row along the edge, another row behind and underneath (I did this so that there was a good density of tassels). The last bit was finding a golden button, which I did at the same fabric store. I simply glued that one on too with hot glue.

Its super simple. Of course, others have bought epaulets off of eBay or whatever. But I like the simplicity of mine.

Basically what I did, I just used a different fabric (felt).

Check out some of the discussions going next down in the costuming section.  Admiral Versio research is well under way.

I haven’t played the game but was underneath the impression the Inferno Squad members themselves were going to be split between Jolly Roger Squadron and Spec Ops Detachments.  Do they ever wear regular Officer uniforms in the game that are unique at all?

Inferno squad is not us. The others are being discussed.

Interesting that clone trooper armour is used instead of stormtooper armour. I guess wild space is not high on priority list for stormtrooper armour as well as ships.

That is explained in the novel. They had only just begun rolling out new Imperial ships by this stage. It's good to see the consistency.

Although this will probably go to ACD

Cavalry my shebs. (Sorry, the one thing that irks me is officer puts on armour and suddenly is located longer an officer).

Looks like the same style as Tarkin but in grey.

I would like a canon explanation on the difference between what we know as staff officers and line officers. I believe before the EU was cleared the explanation was the black officers were Stormtrooper officers, if I'm not mistaken? But that went out the window.

You just gave me an idea actually on how it might be,

  8. I have a theory on that, based on the 451 tunic. The officers wearing the 451 were able to talk back to Vader, were put in command of detachments and on a super secret space station. This leads me to believe that the 451 was as some have said, similar to the SS, elite officers that to most would seem like noncoms.

Another theory, is based on the scene in Leia: princess of Alderaan. They mention that officers wearing White tunics would mean they were in a position of power, we see From Titus and the Geonosis Captain, both of whom are on secret missions, in black uniforms. It could be that Black uniforms are seen as less powerful and therefore the perfect thing to put officers in charge of secret operations in.
