The facial scaring is part of the costume. Just like Tarkin/Thrawn/Hux/Daala

Just like the make up for Maul is part of the costume, or Savaage, or the paint job of specific clones, or the paint job of the mandalorians (or else the Mando mercs would be 501st because it's just the costume, and there's is the plates and helmet)

I’m a cleared level 3 Imperator for Staff Officer - emulation chosen was Commander Praji.

There was no specifics about facial hair or scars etc so hence why it does not have its own crl.

If a Character like Hask has specifics including facial hair, scar then yes it should have its own crl after all that’s why Grand Moff Tarkin has his own crl due to the face/hair features - or should we downgrade that crl to a generic admiral?

I really don’t see why we can’t accept this and just keep arguing the toss to be frank?

For my twopenith I have 3 cleared costumes (ANH stormtrooper, Death Star Crew, and TIE Pilot Reserve) and 2 WiPs currently on the go.. a new FO stormtrooper and a Staff Officer.

I have personally chosen 'generic' character costumes as that suits my time, budget, and is (currently) my preference.

However there are many specific characters that have their own crls and that should be the case I feel, not only to differentiate them from generic crls, but is also gives costumers that want to, something to aspire to above and beyond the generic level 1 2 and 3 variants in this case for this type of officer.

If Kris has gone to the time, effort and expense to create a near perfect Hask (even down to the scar) and have a crl developed around this build then we should support that and have it as a separate crl, in the list of FO officers costumes, as we do with Krennic, Hux and all the other named/specific characters.

Take the Vader crls for example... that is not 1 crl with 'levels' that differentiate ANH, ROTJ, R1 etc...variants. Each variant has it's own crl. Surely the same should apply to specific character Officers.?

If I were to undertake a Hask or a Krennic I would prefer to see a specific crl for that character with all its specific details and intricacy that goes into ensuring my build is spot on.. not just a level variant.

There's two line officer CRLs. Generic, and Tarkin.

It's simple, Hask is a hero character.
    Hux is a hero character
    Thrawn is a hero character
    Tarkin is a hero character

None of them are just a regular officer, and each one requires specific facial make up to get them approved. Thrawn's uniform is exactly the same as the legends GA, Hux is exactly the same as the FO General, Tarkin has an undershirt. You want Hask to be a generic, then make them generics first, but there will be backlash from the 501st, and those who went after those face characters, those hero characters.

Hask, is different from the in game model for play, that has been proven.

Bit of a canon add, to add to the discussions. I believe the helmets are for stormtrooper cadets, while helmetless are officer cadets. I kinda like the idea of the cadet being one CRL, stormtrooper cadet being an additional piece myself.

There is not though. Enough evidence has been submitted and the LMO has backed this up (from me skimming over) for there to be a generic and Hask CRL, just like generic line officer and Grand Moff Tarkin (by your argument that should be 1 CRL), Thrawn and the legends Grand Admiral should be the same, the FO General and General Hux should be the same.

Hask, being modelled differently, with different colours, additional gear, and facial features such as the scar, compared to the generic in game player controlled model are two separate CRLs, and should be written by the person who actually made the costume, then we can argue over the wording like grey or freaking black.

I suppose others may interpret thrawn character differently which naturally is going to be the primary issue with this logic but out of all the sources that tell us about who Thrawn is he definitely isn't one to wear a non military issue uniform nor wear a uniform that is personalized(outside of military regulations). That being said I understand that unfortunately is ultimately just a matter of opionion given there isn't anything the directly states this about him and there lies the rub.

@rattleandburn makes uniforms and has done Thrawn, they might be able to help.

My first costume was a Staff Officer - and it was what people don’t like to hear a lot, but was very true in my case: an easy and inexpensive way to join the Legion.

My second was Director Krennic - and it was a grown up version of my love for Vader as a child. The very first R1 trailer other members of my garrison were facing over the shore troopers or the death troopers, and I was in the back going “who the #^%*# is THAT guy? He’s awesome!” And this began my almost year long crusade to get the costume made and the CRL made.

I’m currently only Officers - though I have a Biker Scout and Vader planned. But I had a similar reaction to the FOSB as I did over Krennic - maybe it’s the white and black. Lol.

My GA was my 3rd costume and second star wars costume. My first is my mando, because we do need their scum.

Aside from That, I wanted to join the 501st and wanted something cheaper than a tk so an officer was chosen and I love the look of the Grand Admiral. Then came my next cheap officer, Krennic, and armoured costumes will come soon.

    I may have a problem.

As for TV and Marvel, that blain can be out solely on Pearmutter (if I spelt that correctly) he really screwed over the TV side and they are still not great, though getting better I believe.

For idiots like me who like to write stories in my free time and like to keep it canon. Also, for idiots like me who are fascinated with both, but like the separation, seeing the similarity and the differences in characters and timelines. (Yes, I would love to be part of the Lucasfilm lore team).

It is also, from a reading point, important to keep them separate. For example, Thrawn's character does not change (Dave Filloni wanted to do the character justice) but if we include events then they are vastly different, though they share some similarities.

What that means, is having to add more details as they appear, making it a living document (which is fun)

Because then you make it too confusing if there are multiple descriptions. You need to make it accessible for everyone, not just you. Or in other words, keep it simple.
