more important is the concept of double stacked ranks being seen on screen with single stacked ranks.  A lot of people had assumed that the double stacked ranks came out of a reorganization that occurred after the Battle of Yavin, but they appeared on screen with the very first episode of Rebels set 5 years BBOY. They represent different things.  Even Pablo Hildalgo stated in the Rogue One visual guide that many of the ranks that are single rowed are representative to sector conventions not found in other parts of the Galactic Empire.  The double stacked ranks are more Galactic Empire wide.

This would make sense if the Emperor wanted the Death Star built far from the eyes of the Senate.  It would not be a project run by the regular starfleet, but one under the absolute control of a loyal Grand Moff in far off sectors.

Yes I do allow for split payments! I had the opportunity to handle Magnoli's cloak, and it is made differently than what I've represented as my research findings for screen-accuracy. It mostly isn't their fault as it looks like they were trying to follow the original CRL requirements, which we've all shown in this thread have a lot of errors in the them. But they also decided to make their cloak from a 'heavy duty cotton' (looks to me like cotton canvas) rather than a lightweight cotton like the CRL says. I do make my cloak from a lightweight cotton twill fabric like the movie costume, and I did all my independent research to try to insure my pattern is as accurate as possible.

Slightly more expensive than magnolis, but I think I will go for yours if you allow split payments. I'll click you a pm here.

Thanks so much!! I think I'll try this. I've been worried about potentially ruining my uniform if I tried to clean it. I've also recently bought a dicky (fake collar) to help prevent and protect the collar in the future.

Its the same tunic, I got some more fabric and she removed the curved back piece and replaced it with a new straight one

Apologies if this has already been posted. I see from their FB page that Imperial Boots, whom many may know for their TK boots, have announced their intent to produce IO boots from July.
 

 
There aren't any pics of the inner shaft of the boot where the concealed zipper is located, but it would be interesting to hear initial thoughts. Based on these 2 pics are these likely to pass levels 2 and 3 approval?

In terms of commissioning someone, I would ask around locally to see if there are any good seamstresses out where you are who are willing to take on such a project. If so, then payment would be hashed out then and there. For me, there was literally a Facebook page dedicated to cosplayers in the city, so I posted there when I wanted something commissioned. Also, ask around your Garrison; odds are someone there is damn good with a needle. Otherwise, Im not sure...

I will argue against piping until I am blue in the face. It is not a raised detail. It is a seam, the argument being if this seam is raised as per the CRL then all seams should be raised with piping.
 
There is no reason to rush out a CRL. If something is not right, then fix it now (this is not a minor fix it later thing).

For myself and some others, if Cosplaysky messes up and agree to send a replacement, they usually don't require you to send the incorrect item. back. 

I would add for the epaulets. I would have gone with sintra myself (expanded pvc foamcore). Cut, heat, paint, done. Many mandos (myself included) have used that for their armour.
 
Paint that gold, maybe a clear coat to add metalic sheen, done.
 
So yes. I agree, metal requirements I think can go.

Unfortunately those are no longer canon and are considered "Legends" at this point. I'm curious about the status of the SW:RPG cards I posted since they are from Fantasy Flight Games, I think circa 2014. 
 
Either way, canon or legends status has no bearing on a costume. See my post about the Swamp Trooper for context. 

I can see where you're going with this in theory, but I'm going to make the argument for Rebels insignias at a lower level.

Why? Because otherwise how is this different from just a standard officer?

If we're going to have Rebels CRLs I think the belt and hat insignia need to be Rebels styled. Otherwise, why is it Rebels and not just lazy normal officers who haven't bothered to get correct details?

You can still have different soft parts move towards more accuracy for different levels (so a standard design hat with a Rebels insignia would pass L1), but a Rebels insignia is what is going to be the real difference between a Rebels officer and any other non-Rebels officer to anyone who doesn't know the tiny details.

Also, his quote clearly states they are ending it before Scarif in anyway, maybe even a few months away from the battle.
