I think I read the trick to not scuff the leather on the boot jack, is to only put the heel part in jack, not the leather area.

I thought I would post this since I just learned today this is a thing. It might be common knowledge to horse riders but not to us Star Wars people.
I was having a hard time getting my riding boots on at the instep and pulling them all the way up.
To get past my tight instep, I did take them to a shoe repair place to get stretched but it didn't help at all. Now, I'm wearing pantyhose socks for better slip, and I rub leather conditioner to the inside of boot at instep area. Hopefully, over time they'll stretch out.
And I just learned what "boot hooks" are for! I noticed the fabric pulls inside the boot but didn't know how to use them. Now I know.
I'm also thinking of getting a boot jack or boot beetle. My concern is that the jack will damage the heel area. Has anyone experienced this? Should I just bug a handler to remove my boots instead of using a jack?
And I'm not sure why this guy needs to put on his gloves to put on his boots, but nice technique

Besides a blaster or swagger stick,
are there any other items that an Imperial Officer could hold in their hands?

I just noticed that some Imperial Officers use this prop accessory. I think it looks super-cool.
How do people feel about it? I realize it's not listed as an accessory in the 501st CRL and not seen in the movies.
I'm building a black Imperial Officer and would love to add a swagger stick instead of a blaster. (Everyone has blasters)
Thoughts? Does anyone object to their use?

What are some phrases that people tend to use regularly at troops?
I'd like to stay in character but I'm not sure what phrases to use other than "yes my lord" & " as you wish commander".

I understand that dosimeters in the movies are actually a security clearance item to get access to different areas. I guess similar to security door cards.

1. For the black Imperial Officer gloves, I notice they are to be gauntlet style. Are they to be worn over the jacket sleeves always? I think I sometimes see officers with gloves worn under the jacket sleeves.
2. For the Imperial Officer boots, the tops may be flat or "Spanish style". What is "Spanish style" ?
