A note about their flightsuits, they are approvable but do require some work to get it there. For example, the compad window is too small and will need to be widened. Some others have had to remove some pockets and put them in the appropriate places. Not difficult, but requires some minor work.

    Hello fellow Officers,

I thought that this preview of the upcoming Tarkin comicbook might be of interest for some of you. Enjoy!!

First place to start would be to gather up images and resources for the cadet uniform. The proposed CRL would need to match exactly how it looks in the comics. As for the discrepancies, I don't necessarily have the answer, but that discussion with other members may prove useful. One feature of the tunic that I recall is that the yoke doesn't come up to the shoulder like in the "standard" tunic, but is more similar to the ANH ISB officer. That's just an example.

After that, you will likely work with the CRL team in drafting the words of the CRL in conjunction with the creation of the uniform itself. We now have a policy that no CRL will be made without an accompanying costume to go with it.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!!

My two cents, it may be possible to do a new CRL for the cadet uniform because that one is a grey uniform. As of right now, with the current CRLs that we have, any grey uniform would be rejected, so making a new CRL for that style would make sense.

The CRL photo is unfortunately way outdated.  Originally they believed that the rank was 4 blue, two red (as the photo model is wearing), but as better quality information and sources came out, they realized it was the lighting that made it appear red, and it was actually amber.  Stage lighting and color grading make these judgments tough!  Especially in the days before blu-ray.  The correct highest rank for ANH Staff officer is the 4 blue, 2 amber. (like Praji wears)

    Hello Eric,

Thank you for your submission. I do not normally handle Imperial Crewmen and Navy Troopers. Tristian does. I have notified him of these pending submissions, but between work and Celebration (which he is very busy preparing trading cards for people for that convention), he is very busy right now. When he has time, he will try and look at this submission. We just kindly ask for your continued patience during this very busy time for us right now.

    Thank you again.

CS belts and hats are NOT approvable!! But if you get the Deluxe uniform, and if it fits you nicely, you can get up to L3 with it. Definitely get custom fitting. If you do, give them more measurements than they ask for, like Neck, Shoulder width, sleeve length, inseam and outseam. You may still need to do minor alterations, but it should be very little.

I would approve a belt with holes up to L2. But, for L3, it would depend on the Officer they were replicating. If the officer they were dressed as had holes in their belt, then holes would be acceptable. If they didnt, then holes would not be allowed. So for L3 it would be a case by case basis

Those boots wouldn't be approved unfortunately. The top is all wrong and the stitching and strap on the front of the foot are all wrong.

If you're looking for an affordable basic boot, you should look for a pair of PVC boots. Ovation Derby/Cottage are good.

Thanks a lot! I actually hit Executor status on my Bridge Crew earlier this year and I'm hopefully only one minor adjustment away from being cleared at the Imperator level, as well. My shoulder cogs are printed on cloth instead of printed on vinyl, bah! lol

(By the way, big thanks to DarthFunk for his help)

DarthFunk83 got a reaction from Hask in New CRL needed for staff officer R1 era rank bar/general bits?
To answer a separate concern, I have approved R1 Staff Officers in the past, however, the slight differences Kris mentioned above would be required (although not explicitly mentioned in the CRL). That means you could wear a "normal" black Imperial tunic, with a rank bar from R1, but I would also look for correct code disk on the hat (no notch), correct belt boxes (smaller ones),  and code cylinders with silver clips, just to name a few (for example).

    Hopefully that answers your questions.

DarthFunk83 got a reaction from TexScout in New CRL needed for staff officer R1 era rank bar/general bits?
Good questions, Geoffrey. For Level 2, any of the ranks given by Dillon would work. However, for Level 3, only those officers seen in either R1 or Solo that you can get a decent screenshot of would be approved. That way, you would exactly replicate the on-screen officer's configuration of number of code cylinders, belt boxes, etc., but only for L3.

Im with kman on this one. I'm flatly incredibly surprised to hear such a negative review about Hessen boots (unless they were defective). I own a pair, and I couldnt be happier. And for most people in this hobby, a pair of $250 boots is more than adequate.

    Hello Eric,

I have now reviewed your submission for an Executor promotion for your Imperial Staff Officer.

Overall, I think you have a great looking uniform. You look very sharp in it. However, before I can approve your promotion, I would like to request the following:
Could you please provide side pictures in your costume. This is mainly to see how the hat sits on your head. Could you please provide a back picture of your tunic to show that the circumference seam runs around the entire tunic Lastly, I would also highly recommend giving your uniform a good ironing and/or steaming. There are a lot of wrinkles on the uniform, and we would like our Officers looking their sharpest for their promotions. Also, I would also request that you put stirrups on your jodhpurs if you havent already. There appears to be a lot of bunching happening at the top of your boots, and stirrups would really help with this. After you have done all of this, I would kindly request that you re-take your full photos (head to toe), front, back, and both sides.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask me. Good luck!!

    Cheers,

    Hello Eric,

I just wanted to inform you that I have moved your submission from the Withdrawn section where it was originally posted to the Active area.

With it being Election time right now, it will take a bit longer for Staff to get to this request. Thank you for your patience.

Usually, my advice for new cadets is pick a costume that you really like. Ultimately, you have to be happy with what you're wearing.

There are some staple uniforms which are fairly easy to build/make. A Staff Officer, for example, is a really great costume. A bonus is that the uniform for a Staff officer can be used for other costumes too, like a Warrant Officer and a Navy Trooper Dress Uniform, if you were interested in doing multiple costumes with the same pieces. The Imperial flight suit for a Bridge Crew is another good example of that. You can get 5 costumes out of that, including TIE pilot, Gunner, and Navy Trooper.

So, pick a costume that you like. That's my advice.

This is what you need if you want to do R1 ISB. To get them to make the tunic white, you'll need to add the Change of Color item (see above) to get them to change the tunic to white. If you dont add that item, they won't do it.
