Good call on the collar difference.  Were they all like that?  I would assume so, but When I do that I usually end up wrong. haha

How would you like to word the collar change?

LOL I was just wondering the same - but then tbh I never noticed the frame Kris shared above haha. The black trenchcoat from the Solo VR reminds be a bit of a WW2 German motorcyclist overcoat. IIRC the early ones had a different collar. I'll see if I can find some wording we can leverage - that is if you want to include a 2nd variant, given Kris' comment observation about this version.

BTW, have you noticed how the caps of the officer's in Kris' RO shot look a tad taller and more conical? Notice the very flat top of the chap on the left? Or is it just me?

  2. Fantastic to see this one come to fruition.

    A few questions:

Did the security/black uniformed officers actually wear trench coats in RO? I’ve Looked for them before, but may have to check again.

The SE14R: I know it’s featured in the visual guide, but again is there onscreen footage? I thought I’d seen the Officer in the archive control room wear one, but haven’t been able to find the frame again.

The riding breeches: is it fair to say, or assume, that the breeches were made of the same pattern as Krennic or even the Shoretroopers? Or even those of the Line Officer? Krennic and the Shories all have laced shins/lower legs. Cassian’s pants seem to have a high waist for suspenders. Perhaps something to consider for higher levels of approval?

  3. Hello, I know this is a silly question, but I just wanted to make sure I ask to understand 100% and to keep anyone else from asking...  ( Yes I know the second part I just put in there...   Grin )

I'm looking for Cog patches so when my flightsuit gets here I can sew / iron / E6000 them on.  I wanted to make sure I go the proper kind so I went to this thread.   When I click on the link, I do not have access.

I am guessing this is because I do not have an approved IOC costume, and I am NOT a member as of yet ?   I know , I know, it seems like a silly question, but I'm just wanting to make sure.

    Thank You,

    Hi Dan

Cog patches aren’t merchandise, they’re part of your costume.

You could try WampaWear for the patches you’re looking for. No 501st membership required.

FYI the merchandise we’re referring to above are things like Detachment patches, pins and shirts. These are things that we sell either to Detachment members only, or more broadly members of the 501st. To have access to these you need to have an appropriate costume approved.

  4. Apologies if this has already been posted. I see from their FB page that Imperial Boots, whom many may know for their TK boots, have announced their intent to produce IO boots from July.

There aren't any pics of the inner shaft of the boot where the concealed zipper is located, but it would be interesting to hear initial thoughts. Based on these 2 pics are these likely to pass levels 2 and 3 approval?

    Cheers
