The majors tunic looks to be a double breasted Officer tunic, Becketts is hard to tell but Becket (as a disguise character) doesn’t technically count (not my decision, detachment leadership has made this clear). The pants do look to be Mudtrooper pants, but I’m not sure the allowance of mixing media, comics vs film. Granted on screen we never get a clear shot of their pants or tunic.

I’d love it if someone with LfL contacts could get a costume person to clarify what’s under the trench coat, as the LT is wrapped up, and the lighting with the Major is HORRIBLE

    And then we come to:

Can we include things seen in the graphic novel? Because if so, then rightfully the Mudtrooper shin guard and Second Belt should be added as optional accessories

    Wampa Wear or MazCave.

Wampa Wear is off the rack, whereas MazCave is made-to-measure.

tarok reacted to mrrikki in Honest question: Why did the Sith Eternal Officer take so long to clear?
Because a reference was missing for the back, the LCO got the reference and we Green lit the crl. This was a great achievement getting the reference.

Also we then proposed to change the rules so this wouldn’t happen again, this got through council and a vote changing the rules for RLA costumes passed. So a really positive result.

In the U.Sarmy a bun is usually the duty hairstyle. So it should be expected to follow suit as some others have said.

Have we seen that coat anywhere other than that scene?  I'll admit I'm a little loathe to encourage changing the CRL for imperials, based solely on a one-off scene where a Jedi grabs a coat for disguising himself AND a child... it's possible that's a one-off, made to drape nicer over two people.  (And possible it's standard... but given the situation it's hard to be sure, so even one other piece of evidence would help a lot)

That may be a typo. I think the L2 requirement is meant to be a code dial without the notch as is seen on the non-saga era Disney Lucasfilm officers. With the update we should probably just require a painted and weathered non-notched code disk for basic approval.

    Firstly… oooh, you’re gonna do a Pryce?

Next… this is one of those costumes you’d want looking tailored, so you may just need to go that way. Off the rack doesn’t always look great for high ranking officials.

With this final bit of information, we've decided with the rest of the LMO team that this costume now has enough references to be build into a CRL

    Hello IOC.
I was contacted today and LFL have finally come back to us with info on the Sith Eternal.  The back of the tunic is a straight cut, not pleated, and there are two vertical seams on the back all the way down to the bottom edge of the tunic similar to the FOSB.

    There is indeed!
Interfacing is what you want. Although I have not yet attempted this on my WampaWear kit.
I believe there used to be a thread about applying interfacing somewhere here, or perhaps someone else could chime in with more info on how this is done.

It’s just a regular white dress shirt. Just make sure the collar isn’t substantially taller than your jacket collar

tarok reacted to kman in Treason? Reusing x-wing pilot boots and gloves for ANH officer
Rebel Legion allows the tall boots for X-Wing pilot if you blouse down the flightsuit so it hides the fact that they are tall boots, but it's not a common option, because those boots tend to be more expensive than the shorter jackboots.

Jackboots (Knobelbechers is the German spelling) are far more common.  The same boots and gauntlet gloves are worn by both X-Wing and TIE Pilots, so those work for both types of costume very well.  BUT the tall boots that RL allows (mostly because of the costuming error in that one set of promo photos) won't work for 501st Crew costumes.

The tall riding boots, however, are appropriate for the Staff Officers... depending on the specifics of your boots.  501st looks more closely at them than RL does.

Do note that the ANH Staff Officer is a very particular costume and not commonly available.  The more common sources are NOT the ANH Staff officer because the Tunic is wrong.

Cosplaysky/Cossky's belt is also not approvable, in addition to the hat.

Their costume can be, but its quite a noticeable step down from WampaWear and other better sources.  Fit can be hit or miss depending on how they were feeling in the factory that day (near as we've been able to determine LOL), which can complicate having them altered, even, sometimes.  Or you can get lucky and it fits like a glove out of the box.  But it's definitely a gamble.

This is a good point. Some garrisons have different standards than others. Plus its a great way to get to know others in your local area or find some help closer to home.

I may be starting the great IOC Goggle revolt with this CRL update..... #keeptheofficergoggles

And regarding the E-10 it’s because the CRL was originally designed completely around the Lieutenant who throws Han to the wookie pit

tarok reacted to kman in CRL: Stretch panel on boots?
The stretch panels are not there for permanent expansion of boots that just don't fit, they're really there to help ease boots over larger calves, and a bit of extra comfort.

An inch and a half is a lot to stretch.  Whether that's possible or not with the boots you have will depend on the quality of the leather, the quality of the boot build, and the skill of the cobbler.  I'd be prepared to look for boots that fit properly, if it doesn't work out.

    Fingers crossed for you!
