WampaWear has some great gloves (I own a couple myself), especially their long gauntlet gloves (for ANH Staff Officers), Scout gloves, etc., but the "Officer gloves" on their site look pretty bad.  I'd look at the thread posted above for some better ideas.

Do3d have the armour and helmet for 3d printing.  Theyre on my "to do list" so cant comment as to how they come out.

Very cool but still wondering if this artist is going to provide any LFL officially approved comic/novel/cartoon/trading card/magazine/role-playing game/ect image of whats needed for a complete CRL. If not, at least it'll be a great convention thing to do.

    Hello Officer uniform makers!
We thought it would be good to have a quick primer on how to go about creating a NTTL CRL.

First, decide what you're trying to accomplish.
Is it a completely new, never done in the 501st costume?  That's NTTL. Is it an officer that wears an existing IOC/501st costume, but maybe with a funny hat?  That's probably not NTTL.
For completely New to the Legion costumes, you need to consider a few things.
Is the character a "Bad Guy"?  That's the easiest qualifier, though that isn't a hard set rule.  See Bith Musicians. Is the character portrayed by a human?  For example, IG-88, or IG-11 wouldn't qualify as they were droids without people in them.  And before you ask, Gonk droids and R2 units don't count either.
Once you decide what you're going for, and have a good idea if it will be allowed, you need to think about which Detachment it would fall under.  Take a look through the existing Detachment CRL Lists to see which one will be best suited to helping you in the process.

Then you'll want to make a forums account there, introduce yourself and see if anyone has started on the same path as you.  You'd be surprised to see how many times someone will start their research and then have life get in the way.  Why not use that info (if it's there)?  It also helps to ask the staff what they think.  They might not see your project as a good fit, and will almost always suggest where they think it (and thus you) would be better served.

So now you have your character.  You feel confident it will work.  You have an idea where to post your project.  What next?
References.  Photos from the source.  Behind the scenes. Deleted scenes.  Art books.  Artist sketches.  Trading cards. You name it, you're gonna need it, and it needs to be official.  Fan art doesn't count.
And keep in mind, we aren't just looked at from the front.  You need all angles.  Front, sides, back.
When you think you have enough, keep looking.  You want this air tight, locked down from the get go.

This Legion link is the last word on the issue, because the post you're reading isn't all encompassing.
CRL Guide  Read it.  Know it.  You will be tested.

Scared yet? Don't be.  Creating a NTTL is the hardest, most rewarding thing we do as costumers in the 501st.  Not everyone can do it.  In fact very few do.  But don't be discouraged.  The IOC staff is here to help!  We want you to succeed!!

Not sure if we’re thinking of the same vendor, but I’ve just seen it in MazCave’s Etsy store.

Grand Admiral here. I probably get "who are you," "which movie are you in," and "will you take a picture for us" most often. Occasionally someone will call me director. I've also been called "like Thrawn," which was amusing and essentially accurate, and "Mrs. Thrawn" which I'll gladly accept. I have been thanked for my service and asked for directions multiple times. Once, someone commented on a picture of me seated in the emperor's throne, flanked by two death troopers, with "Are you in the Air Force, or is that a cosplay?" Thinking the death troopers would make my sarcasm kind of obvious, I replied "Space Force." The only response to that was "cool."

Police officer is the more common one, particularly since Victoria Police changed their uniform to a very dark NYPD style - I wear a staff Officer costume.

Have been confused for a security guard at a Lego show, and someone wearing a period chauffeur costume at a car show (never get separated from the rest of your troopers lol).

Naturally I’ve had the ever unsavoury “Nazi”. Always an unpleasant association.

The visual guide refers to Lt Putna as a “librarian-turned-security-officer”, so why not just called the black uniformed R1/Solo CRL “Security Officer (R1/Solo)”? It helps makes a clear delineation between the OT and the Anthology uniforms.

Your concern would be absolutely valid, but fortunately, that's not the way we've planned this to work.  We're not simply "renaming" the old CRL, while simultaneously making these significant changes.

Instead, previously-approved members will still have the designation of "Staff Officer (Black)".  No change.  That designation will simply no longer be available for new approvals (once the generous grace period ends).

New approvals will have the option of ANH Staff Officer (if that's the costume they have), or this new one, whatever it's ultimately named.

The ANH uniform is different from the R1/Solo uniform. That's why it has it's own CRL.

The v chest and shoulders are a separate piece and semi rigid.
The Sith emblem is 3D not flat on both hat and belt.
The boots are First Order and have buckles and straps.
The middle of the hat is ribbed like the neck seal and the belt the crown is fabric.
    The rank bar says STEMS
I can see no vent at the bottom rear of the tunic.

Thanks. Is that just before the tank ambush scene? Looks like the side of the tank in the right of the picture there.

Do you mean the Solo VR?

Brilliant find though. Much prefer the trenchie to the Batman cape CRL would need to call out the different colour and material of the black collar.

Yeah, ignore that brainfart. The German's had about 13 variants of greatcoat, excluding the motorcyclist version (which was rubberised).

Yes, those hats look very tall! As to those trenchcoats they are very similar in design but possibly of a lighter material as the German ones were leather no?

Good call on the collar difference.  Were they all like that?  I would assume so, but When I do that I usually end up wrong. haha

How would you like to word the collar change?

In the film only the standard collar was seen, If I recall thats why the CRL only includes it.
