I placed an order for a rank bar and belt. She is a great communicator as I too changed my order.  After reading all the positive feedback, I did not hesitate to order from her.

Nice! I haven't used her products but I ordered a belt from her when I was getting my first costume together. While I was waiting my GML (now GCO) gave me an extra one he had as it was the only piece I lacked to start trooping. I notified Tiggie and she gave me a refund with no issue. One of these days I may go ahead and get one and pay the other one forward.

So, back in December (December 6th) I ordered a rank bar and belt from Tiggwolf Creations on Facebook. About a week ago, I received an email from UPS that a package had been sent to me, and today I got a package in my mailbox! I originally ordered a Commander-style rank bar (4 blue, 2 orange) for 10$, and a Belt for 40$. First of all, I want to say these are -- IN MY EXPERIENCE-- the cheapest I've been able to buy a belt/rank bar. My first set, which weren't even 501st-approvable, cost me almost 70$.

I was warned that it would take a few months for the product to get back to me. I was perfectly OK with this and appreciated the warning. I paid through PayPal, a total of 62$ (40 + 10 + 10 for shipping + 2$ tax). About a month after I made my order, I messaged them to see what the progress was and was updated quicker than I could even leave the chat window, told that the order was one of a large batch and would still take a while. I expected this answer and thanked them for the response. A month after that, I asked for an update again, and was updated again. At this time, I asked them if it would be possible to change my order from a Commander-style bar to an ANH Captain-style one (6 orange), a request they obliged happily and I was quite impressed as I fully expected them to tell me that it was too late or there was nothing they could do to alter the order.

So, today-- officially 3 months after I made my order-- I received the package in the mail. I immediately unwrapped it and was impressed! The belt was uncut and unpunched, as I requested (but also how I'm told they do it normally) and the belt came in a nice drawstring baggie to protect it from scratches. There was obvious care taken to keep the items safe in transit, with abundant amounts of bubble wrap. The belt is truly a work of beauty and I'm excited to wear it in-uniform.

The bar was impressive, to say the least. I didnt expect it to be so sturdy-- it's made of a rather solid bit of metal, with a strong magnet and nicely shaped blocks of acrylic. I had eagerly unwrapped the bar to see if they indeed kept to my request to change the bar, as if they would've forgotten-- They did not! A beautiful amber bar.

I've recommended them before based on their response times alone, but now I can recommend them on their product. A saying goes that you have to sacrifice one of the three when ordering 501st accessories/replicas-- Time, Quality or Expense. Well, it took about 3 months, but now I have a very nice looking and very cost-effective Rank bar and Belt in my wardrobe!

Now Tiggie is thinking about offering push button rank bars; thinking being the operative word there. They are hoping to showcase a prototype soon.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped in any way, shape or form to get this thing done and approved - I know a lot of us were anxious and are thrilled to see it up.

That said, I wanted to put up what I see are a couple of issues that may show themselves as people go for Level 2 or 3.

Firstly, and I noted this in the CRL discussion thread, but it might have gotten lost:

In the first scene in Rogue One you can see the ammo on his right hip, not in the back.  It was behind the holster but 3 were clearly visible on his right hip from a front shot.  Probably just a phrasing choice, but one that probably needs to be addressed.  (Also, snugly has one g unless the Queen's English misspells that too  but that's just a pet peeve.)

Second, the measurements on the cloak - I know we went back and forth on this during the discussion, but I think it bears further discussion.  One, I think 2 inches on the collar, unless you are short or have a shorter neck (neither of which I do, sadly) is too short - maybe change it to "at least" and note it should be about 2/3rds to 3/4ths up your neck?  I know I measured my collar, and it is 2 inches tall, but it looks entirely too short on me compared to pictures of Ben.

    Third, in the level 2:

I can only comment on myself, but my yoke is about 5.25" wide from collar and the back is 6.5" long from the base of the collar - because I'm 6'6" tall.  Transpose that, and 5.5" could look entirely too long on a much shorter person (one of our Kylos is 5'2", and she is having a horrendous time with the new measurements on the arms).

Those are the only things that stood out to me that might become an issue.  I wanted to put them down when I was thinking about them to make sure I was coherent.

Again, I appreciate all the work done on this - just offering my suggestions.

For people with "standard" legs, who don't have wide calves, the standard boots work great.  May need stretching at the cobbler, but that's still cheaper than the full custom boots.

For people with large calves, however, I'd agree that the custom boots are the safest bet.  And while it seems expensive, if you start looking at custom riding boots from other places, you'll quickly realize that $300 is an AMAZING price for this sort of boots, full custom.  I've looked, and haven't found anything (that wasn't sketchy, at least) for under $500... and I've found a LOT in the $800+ range.

Simon, just a quick recommendation on the helmet.
Try moving it a bit higher/forward on your head so the swoop is at more of a natural slant.
It should ideally sit more like this at a profile glance.

I was wearing my unfinished Staff Officer uniform, and stood alongside a couple TKs and Jedis and the like.. Unfortunately didn't get a picture of my own, but will post it as soon as I inevitably find myself tagged on Facebook!

It's good You should see it.
I'm mostly excited by the variety of new CRLs the 501st will see from this movie: Death Troopers, Shore Troopers, Imperial Ground Crew, Imperial Armored Crew, Imperial Officer coats, Director Krennic, and a few others.

Speaking as someone who's hobby revolves around Airsoft-- If you can find a "metal" Mauser for 15$, don't buy it. There's no mauser in the world that's metal and worth only 15$. The one I had linked is a UKArms mauser, which is a super plastic-y and brittle mauser that quite frankly does not make a good airsoft gun even as a toy, and that one's worth 15$.

Full-metal replicas Mausers cost around 150-200$ and a full-metal Airsoft mauser costs 120-150$

I honestly recommend just buying a cheap Airsoft Mauser C96 and doing all the modifications yourself. Blasters can be an issue-- they're either really good props with a hefty pricetag or really crap props with a 50$ one, and that's an issue especially for officers where the most mileage we see out of our pistols is sitting in our holster.

http://www.evike.com/products/28531/ <- get this for 12$, gut the internals, add weights if you really want a weighted effect, then seek out any number of 3D-printed kits or even the individual pieces (like the muzzle break) to modify it yourself. If all else fails, you could cut the pieces out of foam or bits of plastic and, with a careful amount of x-acto precision, you can attach them with glue. There you go-- a 15-20$ MSP5.

Like the others said, you can use any blasters as long as it's not a canon event, so it's alright if you don't want to get a MSP5 at all-- you could get a DL-44 and just seek approval without it. I just would still advise against a 40$ eBay pistol. Maybe try Etsy. I myself am trying to collect blasters and will exhibit them at different troops that allow it.

I Agree, and I plan to build my own from airsoft. There are Power 5 and Han DL-44 3D printed parts sets on etsy, and you can get the Metal airsoft Mauser on ebay for around 15 dollars. This also gives you an opportunity to paint and customize to your liking.

Carrie Fisher (Actress for Princess/General Leia Organa) has passed at the age of 60.

Fisher suffered a traumatic heart attack on December 23rd, after which EMTs could not resuscitate her for over 15 minutes. She was taken into emergency services and it was announced that she had been stabilized, confirmed by a family member. Today, on December 27th, Fisher passed on at 8:55 AM, as confirmed by her daughter.

We will remember the Princess fondly, just as fondly (if not more-so) than the sadly-growing list of familiar faces that have blessed the silver screen to bring us the great creation we know as Star Wars.

But what about the guy in ANH who signals to Luke(as TK421). He gives what I would consider a 'salute'..though admittedly more as an acknowledgment than a proper salute.

The only on-screen example of a salute I can find is in ROTJ when Han and Lando are saying their "goodbuys" just prior to the raid on Endor:

"LANDO All right, old buddy. You know, I know what she means to you. I'll take
    good care of her.
    She-she won't get a scratch. All right?

    HAN (looks at him warmly)
Right. I got your promise now. Not a scratch.

LANDO Look, would you get going, you pirate.

Han and Lando pause, then exchange salutes.

    LANDO Good luck.

    HAN You, too.

Han goes up the ramp. Lando watches him go and then slowly turns away."

    As filmed we have:

Harrison Ford has no military service, and no "actor boot camp" type of training that was done for "Platoon", "Saving Private Ryan", "Band of Brothers" etc. so I would not expect a "proper military salute".

Until the revision by the Story Group in July of 2105 http://makingstarwars.net/2015/07/a-few-tidbits-on-han-solos-canon-backstory-in-star-wars-the-force-awakens-and-more/, "background" for Han Solo  was a promising Imperial Cadet until freeing Chewbacca and getting drummed out of the service. That was the backstory at the time RITJ was filmed, so now smuggler Solo was falling back on his experience as Cadet Solo

Yeah, it's a real stretch. Realistically, it's actor Ford interpreting the stage directions with what he's seen in film and TV.
