I'm of the same mind there.  My goal is to have as comprehensive a list as possible with examples, all known named officers, and graphics of the plaques.  As well as for it to be easily navigable for new Officers and easily updated as new information is discovered or new ranks introduced to us.  I'm honestly humbled by the daunting task I'm undertaking, but I'll not let the Empire down!

I plan to list named officers with the appropriate rank on the final version, as well as replace the description of the rank with an actual graphic.  Just thought it might help to have an easy to update breakdown.  Let me know if you'd like me to carry on with this project.

Beautiful display with the shuttle.  I've been thinking about doing some dioramas with my figures this summer.  Presently the only Officers I know to be missing from my collection are Isard and the new Thrawn.  I'm also a bit tempted to pick up another Krennic and make a Gallius Rax from Empire's End.

A distress call has been intercepted, apparently sent by a rebel transport that lost engine control and broke up on an asteroid near Selonia.  It would seem that the ship that went down was carrying a passenger of high importance to the rebellion, given the abundance of rebel ships responding.  We have responded by calling in two Battle Squadrons in the immediate area.
Our priority is to capture any surviving crew and passengers from the transport, with a secondary objective of damaging or destroying as many of the rebel vessels as possible.
As we take position upon leaving hyperspace, the rebels make a bold effort to move on our Left Flank.  Two CR90 Corvettes lead the charge against our line, accompanied by the smaller freighters and fighter escorts.  The sortie was countered by two of our own Raider-class Corvettes, with one squadron of TIE Defenders to provide support.  This charge seems to have been a diversion, however, as the remaining ships of the rebel forces begin to make towards the wreckage.

The game group I'm part of on Mondays just started the Corellian Campaign for Armada.
I thought I'd see if I can manage to write up an account of my experience with the campaign here, in a first person manner.  Thinking it could help me to flesh out the persona I'm working on to go with my uniform.

Otherwise known as: IC-7255 gets a promotion!

Now, for the purpose of this tutorial, I'm going to start with going the path of warrant officer, because I get to keep the same boots as my IC and I don't have to worry about a rank badge or the jodhpurs (which I like). There's also a hat pattern I need to print out, but I'll worry about that once I find some legal-sized paper.

Before it gets asked, no, there won't be daily updates. I will say that I'm wanting to do work on something costume-related every day this year, but I have a project list of 22-ish items (realistically, I can only be working on between four to ten other projects currently), so this will get updated on days I work on this.

The goal is, of course, to pass CRL, but another secondary goal is also to show folks that it is possible to do an ID for not a whole lot, if you're half-crazy and determined. I say that because the material I'm going to be using is not wool. It is a mid-weight suiting fabric however, and that is what matters for approval. Also, with a 50% coupon from JoAnn's, it was $5/yd, so I have enough for the coat, straight-legged pants, jodhpurs (if/when I get around to those), and a hat, plus mistakes, for very little. I'll add item numbers at the end of this post. But, so far this is everything. The pants for the 4745 say I need a 1' buckle, so I'll find one of those I like, then really begin this insanity.

    Item numbers (all JoAnn's):
    8556714 (black mid-weight suiting material)
    821389 (black lining)
2614378 (nickel coat hooks & eyes)
    1923077 (sew-on snaps, size 2)
The buttons are a La Mode style 2044, can't find a product number.

Everything else should be self-explanatory, fusible interfacing, black thread (I'm going with polyester to avoid shrinkage later), the necessary pattern, and tracing paper for the modifications.

Let's hope this doesn't go terribly wrong. Or if it does, it's a learning experience.

MoffSchrayer reacted to PArmstr in ANH enlisted death star personnel in olive uniform
I don't have any update on this. I'm still looking for the real world uniforms that were used to make these. I found new information about the uniforms they used for the ISB (Imperial Russian Army Officer's summer tunics) and warrant officer (1950s NY Police uniforms) but nothing about the hall walkers. Due to that I haven't started with the mock-up yet.

Len is right when he says that the olive imperial development project uniform that Galen Erso wears might be an option for us. It seems to be a regular line officer tunic with olive trousers. He has one code cylinder in each code cylinder pocket and no belt boxes. His rank bar has four yellow or amber tiles and one red one.  He wears black leather shoes similar to what the hall walkers and ISBs wear. I really hope there will be generic imperial development project officer CRL and not just a Galen Erso CRL with this uniform.
