Congratulations! That's a fantastic achievement. Carry on, Officer!

I mainly watch Black Series Rebels. They often go off topic, but they sure are entertaining (and their action figure pins are amazing).
Thanks for starting this thread, I'm looking forward to checking out some of the channels you all recommended.

Just curious, does IOC have an Instagram account?

Great photos! That's so cool you got some photos with the sign/Falcon behind you, they ushered us into the film so quickly I couldn't get any like that and they were taking it apart by the time I got back.

I'd like to echo what everyone else has already said, and add this article written in 2002 called The Case for the Empire.

I really appreciate all the time and effort you are putting into this. This has been quite educational for me to see how the process works and how much thought and care goes into each description.
I also find it interesting how for level 3 you noted that the hat should not have any decorative stitching on the front bill. It makes sense that the game designers didn't include that detail. It seems that dealing with an animated character has a much more difficult balance because sometimes the small details can't be flushed out in the animation as it would be in reality.

Thank you for clarifying the jacket length. I also noticed you gave the option of the princess seams or the center seam in the back of the jacket, I think that is a good call.
Since I am still new to the Legion I don't know that I can comment much on the higher level specifications except to say that it seems you wouldn't be able to use a standard belt or hat (such a belt w/ rivet or a hat w/ a notched code disc, maybe other items too) with the character at higher levels. I'm imagining this is because it is an animated character so the costume detail is different than it would be on an actual person & that these are similar problems that the Star Wars Rebels characters have?

Well that was emotional and amazing. I'd definitely be interested in watching the full thing when it comes out.

Your uniform looks fantastic, congratulations!!

So much for the 6-8 week turnaround time. I ordered custom boots on March 15 and now it is 12+ weeks later and I'm still waiting for them...
The last I heard from them was a month ago saying they have not heard from the manufacturer yet but they expect the boots to arrive soon. I've emailed them twice since then and haven't heard anything. I'm hoping this isn't typical and that no one else ends up experiencing this type of wait, but I just thought I'd throw that out there in case I'm not the only one.

Thx!
Heh. We'll see. I'll let you know if I do decide to knock out a few more. How old is the kiddo in question?
My boy will be 4 next month. I need to see about getting him enrolled in GA - your boy is going to outrank everyone!

That was an enjoyable read, thanks for sharing!

I'm glad Hessen refunded you the money, it's only fair. Sorry to hear that you're back to square one now. I know you waited a long time for the boots so that's extra disappointing.

Yikes! That is not a small mistake!

The Plexiglas rand bars are NOT going anywhere. The Push Button type will be the more accurate choice for the higher approval levels.
Thanks Mark, it is always reassuring to have confirmation from the Detachment Leader!

Thank you both for your replies! I am so relieved!

I've been trying to keep up with all the chatter about the rank bars but I'm a bit confused (& overwhelmed). Are plexiglass rank bars still approvable?
I ordered a rank bar from Tiggie and am waiting for it to ship but now I'm afraid it won't meet approval...
Also, what happens when the rules are changed after someone has already been approved?

Thanks for the update. It is helpful to get an idea of what to expect. That's quite a wait, I hope you get them soon!
