Would this be helpful? I slapped up a quick jig on Tinkercad to help space out the buttons. I haven't actually used it yet (waiting for Amber buttons to come in) but it would probably work best if left in place while the glue dried.

I updated the tingiverse file to a more accurate 1/4" space between the buttons.
I also added 2, 3 and 4 button jigs as well as the updated 6 button.

There is a good chance they will be, but the JRS do not award/recognize/adjudicate level 2 and 3. If it makes you happy, go for level 3. They are in the CRL because of the Legion, but the Detachment is just one big happy family.
We're all pilots, levels be damned.

Here at the IOC, we're all OFFICERS, and some folks strive for higher levels of accuracy. Others don't, which is also OK.

There is a good chance they will be, but the JRS do not award/recognize/adjudicate level 2 and 3. If it makes you happy, go for level 3. They are in the CRL because of the Legion, but the Detachment is just one big happy family.

You would be much better if going custom. I purchased off the shelf XL. It fit perfectly most areas except the neck was a bit too big. My tailor couldn't do anything about the neck. I ordered custom, neck fit perfectly, tailor just adjusted the length of the sleeves up 1/2" and added stirrups. Go custom, you'll save money in the end by not having your tailor making all kinds of alterations.

From the point that I contacted them (6 week mark) they told me my custom boots were finished and being shipped to them from Spain. By the end of the 8th week mark did they tell me my order arrived and would be shipped to me. So yeah, their note on the ordering page is correct. 6-8 weeks to make and ship from Spain...PLUS shipping to me, so total of about 9 weeks. If I had known, I would've ordered 2 weeks earlier than I did to have them for Wonder Con. Oh well, I'll have them by Tuesday next week, submit for approval, and then start trooping.

The (current) general consensus is that for the original trilogy the buttons should be 1/4 inch. If you're doing the larger Rogue One style, the spacing should be closer to 1/8 inch. The way I'm doing mine is that I'm keeping the bar length the same, and just centering the buttons regardless of their type.
 
Ex:

I Just found this, CRL for Rank Bars. I guess I'll have to redo the template from 1/8" spacing to 1/4" spacing.

I made one out of craft foam (I don't have access to a 3-d printer )
 
Be careful that you don't have any glue oozing. Otherwise you'll have a black rank bar haha

Yes, I saw your links, they are the correct parts, but the wording (Transparant/Translucent), and the wording on the suppliers sites are off compaired to the manufacturers data sheet.
EAO is the manufacturer; Newark, Mouser, Allied, are all distributers.
(Trying to add a .pdf of the relevent page of the manufacturers data sheet.)
To summarise from thea data sheet
EAO 01-901.6 is translucent/translucent Blue (the part number you linked in your first post) So "Translucent" would be the correct description
EAO 01-901.2 is translucent/translucent Red (also a part number you linked in your first post) also "Translucent" would be the correct description
EAO 01-982.4 is transparent/translucent Yellow (the prefered one as the translucent is solid yellow not transparant amber looking) So "Transparant" would be the correct description in this case.
Just trying to clear up any confusion so if people decide to make thier own, like me, the correct part numbers can be provided.

DO NOT order the series 01-901 yellow push buttons, while they were once accurate, some years ago they changed them to opaque yellow instead of transparent amber.
