[Legends High Moff/Armored Officer CRL]

Sorry, i've been quiet.  Always happens, i start a project and funds immediately disappear. But birthday is coming up, and hoping i have enough cash to at least start getting the uniform material.  But as always, the bane of any officers existence... THE BOOTS. 

 

Fortunately, i do have all the materials to start working on the armor. As soon as i go out and clean up my shop from being moved. (everything is sitting on top of my workbench). 

 

 

 

 

 

[Legends High Moff/Armored Officer CRL]

After discussion with an LMO, as well conversation with DL, I will pursue a new to the legion costume. 

 

From the Legends Series, there are several High Moffs, as well as what appears to be other officers that share the same uniform. 

Currently we have a CRL face character for Morlish Veed approved http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_High_Moff_Morlish_Veed

 

My intention is create a CRL within the ICO for a generic High Moff/Armored Officer

 

The base of the CRL could match the CRL for Veed. 

The variances that will come in will be color of the uniform, rank bars on the chest armor, and insignia on the collar. 

 

With the current CRL, my only disagreement is in the treatment of the collar. 

Owing that it is comic based, it is difficult to interpret what the material is intended to be. The current one has a hard collar, however in reviewing reference photos, i believe it can be interpreted as either a hard collar, or a leather/leather like mandarin style collar.  This is owing to some of the treatment in many versions where it appears there to be slight folding in the collar.   The main one i interpret this is when Veed has his tunic open. the collar appears to be part of the tunic itself(as well appears they have material across the shoulders). 

My interpretation is that the collar is attached to the tunic itself, (or a dickie type leather collar can be made to be worn over an officer uniform so that the uniform could be used for as generic officer)

 

I am open to discussion on these, but to me, keeping the new CRL in line mostly with the Veed will allow for consistency. 

 

Having this CRL will allow for additional costumes to the legion, but make it so you are not limited to just the select face characters. 

 

Tunic colors based on reference. Olive Green, Black, Grey

There are a couple variations of  Chest rank bars. 3 red squares(most common), 12 red squares tight together, red and blue squares (veed)

Collar insignias: 2/3 red squares on both sides, 3 red squares on one side and design similar to belt/hat disc on other side, or both sides have disk, or no insignias at all. 

Hat: Optional, as only a few references of characters are shown wearing
