Are you bored of having the same old Officer photos? Well perk up and feel good about your images with the new warning label that all Officers should be kept a safe distance from all Sith Lords. Try it now and let your friends know that you are a special and not to be choked. Enjoy!

I know, right? I get compliments on them all the time. Ironically I've had them for years prior to joining the 501st.

So! For whatever reason my camera did NOT want to show the differences between the joanns fabric and the cosplaysky fabric

As a general statement, the cosplaysky fabric will photograph in a range from what to see there to a more bright green. The joanns ranges from what you see to a darker grey depending on lighting. The Anovos is a bit darker than all of them. I don't have the German fabric, but i would say it would probably fit between the Joann's fabric and the Anovos.

Additionally, the cosplaysky does not have a distinctive weave to it, as it's entirely a polyester fabric, which the others are less synthetic. The other fabrics also have more of a weight to them, so a cosplaysky won't be able to have as crisp of a seam when you press it. It can be done with some work, but the heavier fabrics will lay flatter, esp since they'd be interfaced as well.

Overall though, for the price of the cosplaysky, it's great.
But if you decide to upgrade down the line, I 100% reccomend grabbing some fabric and commissioning a tailor. Then you'll get a perfectly fitted suit made for you!

It’s quite a bit more pricy but I’d highly recommend Magnoli, great color especially for the OT, and great fit. I have a COS as well, it fits baggier and the color is far to light, at least for my taste, but COS is approved, just be careful with your measurements

I stand corrected, Anovos seems to have a limited number of the green back in stock.  That said, unless you're between 5'8" and 6'1", you won't fit in their costume without a LOT of tailoring (and if you're over 6'2" don't even try - I'd look like I was wearing my little brother's uniform).  So you'd pay $300 for the jacket, $200 for the pants, have to have a hat made by ordering another pair of pants (so another $200) and then pay for tailoring and accessories.

Seems like a waste of money to me, but YMMV

CosplaySky all the way. It's cheaper than ANOVOS, about the same quality, looks way more screen accurate since the material doesn't have a strange, shiny plastic-like look to it. Not to mention, ANOVOS orders take ages to arrive if they aren't sold out of the items you need in the first place. Honestly, I'm surprised they're not out of business yet (probably going to happen soon if what I'm hearing from folks is true). Even if you start with CosplaySky and want to work up to a better quality costume, there are other options out there.

I know a lot of folks like ANOVOS but I've had too many bad experiences with them and their meh-quality all around.

    Hello
I’d like to propose a CRL for a Rebels Style Officer and the seventh fleet emblem will just be added as an optional accessory. It was recommended by the LMO to use the Pryce CRL for tunic, pants, belt, boots, rank bar (but different rank of course—(most likely lieutenant since that is shown in the picture), and code cylinders. Added would be an Officer’s hat in the same color and material as tunic and pants, but with greeblie that is Rebels style (same as belt), black leather gloves, and of course the Seventh Fleet emblem on the left arm (this would be an optional accessory) Gloves I have, patches are being made in both 4 inch and 3.5 inch. I was wondering which size would be best? I was thinking the 3.5 inch because that is the size of the emblems on TIE pilot shoulders, but curious what other think. And how far below the shoulder seam? 1 o 2 inches? Looking at the uniform Ezra is wearing in the pictures it seems like 2, the pictures below are what I am using for a source for costume, and any suggestions welcome! Thank you!

Love this cant wait to see the progress. A few of the other LMOS looked and I gave some back info, they caution against using Pryce anymore than in seam comparison. We see a fair bit of color difference ^.^ Maybe do some color pulls?
Also youll want to use the rebel rank bar and such for it. All cartoony! Huzzah! You are on the right track!

wedgenbiggs got a reaction from TwistedZen in How do you transport your gear?
I have a garment bag dedicated to each of my Officer uniforms. I also have a 25 gallon Husky tool bin that I use to store my boots (which I wrap in a thin layer of foam for protection), my cap (which I keep on a styrofoam head for keeping its shape), and a smaller plastic bin which I've lined with specially carved foam to store my blasters, rank bars, code cylinders, and belt boxes. Everything else - my belt, gloves, trading cards, glasses pouch, comm link, etc. goes into a small carrier in the bin. I even keep an emergency sewing kit, glues, boot hooks, boot remover, and such in a small container. It may seem a bit intense for an Officer,  but it's so nice to roll up to a troop and have everything in one, easy to transport place and to have it protected. I feel like these costumes are a massive investment and I want to take the best possible care of them. I also keep checklists for each of my uniforms in the box and those have helped me to never miss a single piece of equipment or clothing for my troops.

Generally we have been just doing them after review every so often. We made a few changes to various CRLS every month or so  We try and be very careful updating Green Lit CRLS as to not piss off the membership base working on the costume to much. All these things are approved by the Detachment Leader and LMO before being put into a CRL.

I always stress to people Mail Us mail us Mail us! We are here, we are not psychic and we dont check out random boards (as there are a ton) we LMOS manage many Detachments CRLs so telling us (and mainly the Detachment Leaders) theres an issue is key.
