Great idea. I got approved for both that way, in the event that I forget either my rank bars or code cylinders, I can still troop in something that is approved.

Had the opportunity to attend the Solo: A Star Wars Story Hollywood World Premiere on May 10th. Here's a few pictures.

On a side note..... new ventures await as far as Officer stuff goes .

Yep. The only real difference difference between a TIE Reserve Pilot and Bridge Crew is that the Bridge Crew can carry belt boxes while the TIE Reserve Pilot can carry a Blaster such as the DL-44 and the Reserve Pilot has to have the Comm Pad while with Bridge Crew, it's optional.

But yeah, if you have the jumpsuit, might as well rock both or all three if you have the TIE Pilot ready to go.

Well, we also know where else the Alliance got their rank insignia from now too - you've seen it, you can't un-see it!

Just as Wedgen reccomended the ones from Todd I found a pair in my size on eBay so I’m going for it and hoping for the best! Thanks everyone for your help and recommendations.

While what wedgesbiggs recommended is true, certain PVC boots on amazon can work and pass as L2. Personally, as a slim guy, I have purchased those boots along with boots from Imperialboots.com, and equestrian riding boots from etsy. Depends on what level you're going for.

I’ve wanted to be a part of the 501st for ages, ever since my first ComicCon over a decade ago. In those days, when you spoke to folks at the booth, they only promoted the idea that you can get in if and only if you build or make your costume from scratch. Well, with no sewing skills and no time to learn any due to my full-time job, school, and family, I figured it was a pipe-dream at best.

A couple of years ago I came to work in my black Staff Officer cap from Disneyland and one of my coworkers who is a big-name in my local Garrison saw the hat and told me that it was approvable as-is - this got the gears in my head turning. I’ve always loved the officers (both Imperial and Rebel) in the Star Wars universe and if there was the slimmest of chances I could get in, I would take it as an Officer.

My coworker became an unofficial advisor and told me that not only do most people commission or buy pre-made costumes, but he gave me a cost-by-cost breakdown of where to get my Staff Officer build online. Over the next few months, I slowly put together all that I would need for my initial approval, getting what I needed from places like Ebay, Amazon, CosplaySky, and Etsy.

Once I got into the Legion and once I saw that most people in my Garrison, even if they still have their Officer duds, don’t tend to troop in them, I knew that I wanted to do Officer troops more than anything. Additionally, after spending half a decade in my youth, sweating and struggling to breath in costumes at a famous theme park in Southern California where I once worked, and since I have no desire whatsoever in dealing with that crap again any time soon, I decided that for the time being, I would be my Garrison’s go-to Officer.

Someday I may look into something like a TK but that’s what everyone wants to do these days. It's great having a low-maintenance costume I can sit, Wrangle, and POC in as well. I love showing my Officer pride and spreading the IOC love and that is not going away any time soon. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Those are awesome!  I love the writing, too, LOL!  I planned to put the rebel firebird on my other arm, too, just like yours.  Still might, over my wife's objections, LOL!  I wish I had thought of that lettering first, because I don't want to copy yours entirely, especially since the base design (and placement!) is already nearly the same!

Since I am not the one to ask this question, I asked my 6 year old daughter why she wanted me to get an officer uniform for her.  Her reply was that they stand really  tall and can tell the stormtroopers what to do.  Her scowl is coming along quite well.

I wanted an imperial cog but with something on it as well. I ended up using a picture of myself in my TK (my wife tells people I have a tattoo of myself on my arm and they give her a weird look) and added my TK ID underneath. It's been a year now and I still love it, but there are some details that I'm annoyed with and I wish the lines were done better. This is a picture a couple days after I got it:

I'm a pretty skinny fella and I found these which work splendidly for both my Line Officer and Staff Officer - they are 100% approvable, comfortable, and perfect for those with smaller calf sizes.
